Chapter Eight

Finn Balor

It had been a couple of weeks since Marlana had introduced me to her friend Hanna. We got along so well and I never have a dull moment with her.

We were supposed to have a double date with Marlana and Seth, but the two of them have been AWOL. "Still no word from Marlana?" I ask Hanna and she shakes her head no. 

"Do you think something bad has happened?" She asks looking at me with worry etched all over her face. 

"I don't know.  Seth usually comes to me with serious things but I haven't heard from him in a couple of days." We both sit there, staring at our phones just praying that one of them will answer.

"Should we go to their house and check on them?" Hanna suggests, looking down at her freshly painted fingernails.

"Yeah, let's go." I say grabbing her hand and making our way out of the performance center.

When we're arrived to the house, only Marlana's car was here. We knock on the door and hear shuffling before the door opened.

"Hanna? Finn? What are you guys doing here?" Marlana asks, looking stressed and like she hadn't slept in days.

"We worried about you. No one has heard from you or Seth in days." Hanna tells her.

"Oh, so I'm not the only one he's ignoring, good." Marlana says.

"Did something happen?" Hanna asks and Marlana lifts her head up from looking at the ground to meet my eyes.

"Seth hasn't told you Finn?" Marlana asks me and I shake my head.

"Come on in, and I'll fill the both of you in." She says and leads us into the house.

Marlana Nicole

I lead both Hanna and Finn into the living room and they sit on the couch. "Excuse the mess, Paisley was playing in here earlier." I tell them and they shake their head and tell me it's fine.

"So about a week ago, I decided to surprise Seth at work since I hadn't heard from him all day. I get there and he's extremely pissed at me. Apparently Drew told him that we had slept together, which is a complete lie, but he never even let me explain. He just told me that he wanted a divorce and custody of Paisley. Those were the last words I heard from him."

"Oh my god, Marlana, I'm so sorry." Hanna says, getting up and hugging me.

"This doesn't sound right." Finn says.

"It happened. I was there." I tell him.

"No, I mean that's not something Seth would just up and do. He loves you more than anything in this world. Something is wrong." Finn tells me and now worry consumes me.

"D-do you think that he's in trouble?" I ask, now worried that my husband is dead.

"I don't know, but I'm going to go talk to Drew." Finn says, standing up and grabbing his keys.

"I'm gunna stay here with Marlana. Call me when you get anything okay?" Hanna says, then Finn nods and pecks her on her lips.

"If you two need anything, please let me know." Finn says and I nod at him.

"Thank you, Finn." I tell him and he nods back and then walks out the door.

Seth Rollins
The look on her face, I can't take that back. The breaking of her heart, I can't piece it back together. The love I have for her, that will never fade. I had to protect her.

That's what I need her to know more than anything.

My phone starts buzzing and it's an unknown number. "Hello?" I answer.

"Seth what the hell man? Where are you?"

"Finn?"

"Yes, where the fuck have you been, what is going on? Marlana is thinking you're done with her and by what she told me, something isn't adding up."

"Finn, I can't tell you."

"What the fuck do you mean you can't tell me? Your wife is worried about you, and what about your daughter?"

"Tell them I love them and that I'm sorry." I hang up the phone and turn it off.

This is the right thing to do.
