Chapter 6

The next morning was awful to say the least...

"Ugh..." Jack mumbles as he slowly trudges out of bed. His face suddenly goes pale as he rushes to the bathroom, waking up Yukina in the process.

"Honey?" Yukina asks, but her question is answered once she sees the bathroom light on, and hears Jack retching. "I am going to sue that Wacdonald's when I get the chance." She mumbles as Jack comes out, looking very disgruntled.

"By all means sue it." Jack grumbles. "I'm pretty sure we all have food poisoning now." He adds, confirmed when he hears Maya and Shinobu throwing up. Unfortunately the sounds set off Yukina, and she quickly rushes to the bathroom herself to eject whatever was left in her stomach. In the end, everyone slumps on the couches, unable to do anything more than complain about their horrible states.

"Ja-nii... I feel horrible..." Maya mumbles.

"I don't blame you Maya-chan..." Shinobu mumbles as Houdai-kun emerges to see what happened.

"I can't help but feel bad for all of you." Houdai-kun says. "Maybe if I head to the Kamizonos they might have something that can help you out."

"Thanks." Maya says as Houdai-kun teleports out. A few seconds later the doll comes back with what look like antacid tablets.

"Kamizono secret antacid tablets. Should be able to cure a stomachache in an instant." Houdai-kun says as everyone takes one. True to Houdai-kun's words everyone feels better, and they can move around normally again. Eventually a smoke cloud emerges, revealing Kurona, but she looks a little green in the face.

"Ugh... Oh HELL I feel awful..." Kurona mumbles.

"I have one more of these antacid tablets. You look like you could use one." Houdai-kun says as he tosses one to the demon, who gladly takes it. The demon does feel better, after she barfs one last time that is.

"Oh no! It's all over the floor!" Shinobu shouts. "Kurona!"

"I'm sorry as HELL! Where's a mop?" Kurona quickly replies as Maya tosses her one. The puddle of vomit is quickly cleaned up and Ekoro soon emerges.

"Is everyone okay from yesterday?" Ekoro asks.

"Feeling better now at least." Jack replies. "Kurona kinda puked all over the floor earlier though, right where you're standing."

"AAAAHHH!" Ekoro screams as she flies up... And smashes her head on the ceiling... "Ouch..."

"Ekoro! Are you okay?" Jack asks as he catches the dazed Ekoro before setting her back on her feet. "Damn, you hit your head pretty hard, at least you didn't dent the ceiling."

"We can worry about that later, we got trouble!" Maya says as the demon hunters get ready to fight. "Kurona, look after Ekoro for us, okay?"

"Okay!" Kurona replies as the group heads outside. "Where's the ice tray...?" Meanwhile with the demon hunters...

"Back to hell with you hornheads!" Jack shouts as he unleashes a storm of bullets with muramasa. Shinobu then brings out her rocket launcher and opens fire, blowing countless demons to smithereens!

"Take that!" Shinobu shouts as Yukina goes in with her claws and starts slicing and dicing the remaining demons to bits while Maya and Houdai-kun take out the stragglers that attempt to flee. It's not long before the last of the demons are dealt with, and the group stands victorious once again.

"That'll do it for today." Jack says as he and the others high five. Eventually, someone comes up to them, and Jack's happiness fades out as he realizes who this is. "Seriously Houdai, I swear you've got trackers on Maya and Shinobu."

"No I do not for crying out loud! God!" Houdai shouts. "I literally just walked down and heard a ruckus."

"Well it's done now." Jack replies.

"Oi! Yukina!" Houdai calls out.

"What do you want with her?" Jack asks. "She's mine, you can stop trying now."

"Jealous much?" Houdai asks.

"I haven't forgotten what you've tried to do to her." Jack replies, about to reach for masamune again.

"Whoa whoa whoa! Calm down!" Houdai shouts.

"Honey, what has gotten into you?" Yukina asks, shaking Jack and making him come back to his senses.

"Huh? What?" Jack asks as he shakes his head. "What was I doing?"

"You were about to pull out your gun and point it at Houdai." Yukina replies worriedly. "Are you okay?"

"I think so. Sorry." Jack says.

"It's alright." Houdai replies. "Sorry for bugging you guys." And with that Houdai takes his leave as the group heads back to the penthouse. There, Jack takes a rest on the couch, napping not unlike earlier in the morning, and Ekoro and Kurona look at him worriedly.

"What happened?" Ekoro asks.

"He was about to point his gun at Houdai again, and he realized that something was up." Yukina replies.

"Again huh..." Ekoro mumbles as she looks over Jack. She initially doesn't find anything but after Kurona gives him a look over, she looks at the group with shock before leading the group off into another room.

"Something dark as HELL is flowing into Jack." Kurona explains. "It's an energy that is built up over time from hostile interactions with demons. As of now he'll be fine but should a demon manage to strike him, which may not be likely as a demon hunter, he will go beserk and unleash HELL on everything he sees. In that case you must utilize an angel's weapon and knock him out."

"Then that would kill him then?" Yukina asks.

"Not at all. Angel weapons don't hurt humans, but they are capable of knocking them unconscious." Ekoro explains. "I have something for you just in case it happens." And with that everyone heads back where Jack just begins to stir.

"What's going on?" Jack mumbles as he slowly gets up.

"There's something we have to tell you." Shinobu says.
