Sisters of Destiny: Trials of Love and Peace

Chapter 8

The demon horde that the hunters were facing off against had obvious strength in numbers- over a hundred demons made up the horde, but they were no match for the experience and teamwork of the demon hunters as they begin mowing them down like grass!

"I hate to have to deal with my own kind but you have left me no choice!" Kurona shouts as she impales many demons with her spear before firing off dark energy spheres. They explode on the demons that she was just dealing with earlier and send them flying off into various buildings before said demons dissipate.

"Charge shot, FIRE!" Ekoro shouts as she charges her pistols to the max before firing a single shot that explodes with the force of a mini nuke, sending many demons flying while leaving the buildings untouched.

"So that's what the charged setting was for!" Kurona chuckles as she flies above a group of demons. She charges up dark energy before channeling it into her spear, giving it a dark purple aura. "KURONA CHARGER!" Kurona yells as she rockets towards the ground and drives her spear into the ground, creating an explosion of dark energy that catches multiple demons and obliterates them!

"Eat my rockets hellspawn!" Shinobu shouts as she brings out her rocket launcher and fires a volley of rockets!

"Houdai-kun, now!" Maya shouts as she duplicates the doll.

"HOUDAI DIVEBOMB!" The dolls shout as they fly alongside Shinobu's rockets in various kung fu positions. The unfortunate demons get pelted and are destroyed upon impact, and the ones that Jack and Yukina are dealing with aren't faring any better.

"Now this is going to leave a mark!" Yukina shouts as she deactivates her shield and brings out her dart launcher. Jack stands beside her with muramasa at the ready before the couple unleashes a hailstorm of bullets and darts, catching countless demons and bringing down many of them without a sweat! Yukina then switches to her claws as Jack decides to bring out masamune and land as many headshots as he can on the remaining demons. Eventually the horde is dealt with, but Jack and the others feel vibrations coming from the ground.

"Heads up, something big is about to emerge!" Jack shouts as something bursts out from the ground! It resembles a carrot, but with a sickly pink color, purple tentacles and menacing yellow eyes.

"It's a demon veggie! Watch out!" Kurona yells as the demon veggie unleashes it's tentacles, ensnaring Yukina!

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" Yukina screams, and Kurona also gets snagged!

"HEY! LET ME GO!" Kurona yells.

"Yukina! Kurona!" Jack shouts as he takes aim with masamune and snipes the tentacles grabbing ahold of the girls, freeing them before the demon veggie could get any other ideas about what to do with them.

"Let me deal with this guy!" Ekoro shouts as she faces off with the carrot monster. "Charge shot, FIRE!" Ekoro yells as she fully charges her pistols again and fires off a shot into the demon veggie's mouth. The monster then grabs it's neck as if choking on something before exploding!

"Nice shot!" Jack shouts. "But something else is coming! What is THAT?!" He yells as everyone looks up to see a strange balloon demon with a light purple color and blue spots here and there.

"Great, first a demon veggie and now a demon balloon!" Kurona shouts. "Let me deal with this one!"

"WHAT THE?!" Shinobu and Maya yell as the demon balloon snatches them up with green tentacles. Before Jack has any time to react though, Kurona has already charged and slashed the tentacles clean off, distressing the monster as Jack and Yukina catch Shinobu and Maya respectively.

"I'll pop you like a... Ah HELL that sounded better in my head..." Kurona mumbles as the demon balloon attempts to ensnare her, but Kurona is too fast. The demon balloon then shoots a green ball of... Something, but Kurona also dodges that as she charges up dark energy and channels it into her spear once more. "I hope you're hungry as HELL! HYAAAHH!!!" Kurona screams as she charges at the demon balloon and enters it's mouth!

"Kurona! What the heck are you-" But before Jack can say anything, the demon balloon holds it's neck not unlike the demon veggie, and it pops like an overinflated balloon, revealing a valiant, yet slime covered Kurona. The demon quickly flies over to the group and looks at all the slime covering her.

"Ew!" Kurona says as she shakes off all the slime like a wet dog. "At least that's been dealt with."

"What on earth were those things though?" Jack asks.

"They're demon's familiars." Ekoro replies. "Kurona had these same ones at some point."

"That's how I knew where to strike." Kurona adds. "They usually start out small as HELL, but they can grow to be even bigger than the ones we just fought."

"Would explain why they were easier to defeat." Jack replies. That's when a single demon that missed out on the whole fight sneaks up on Jack and before anyone can do anything, it latches on and bites his shoulder! "GAH!!!"

"JACK!!!" Yukina screams as she manages to rip the demon off and quickly dices it up with her claws. Once the demon is done for she looks to her husband, who's starting to glow with a purple aura not unlike the dark energy Kurona was using.

"Oooohhhh HELL!" Kurona shouts. "Get the HELL back everyone!"

"What... What is HAPPENING?!" Jack shouts, trying his best to resist whatever is flowing within him. "I'm... I'M... RRRAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Jack suddenly screams as he explodes with dark energy! When the dark energy clears up, Jack stands before them with completely red eyes. His school uniform is even more tattered than before, and masamune comes flying out for the hunters to catch. Jack then pulls out muramasa, heavily corrupted by the dark energy before he starts hovering above them.

"Now is the time." Ekoro says. "Yukina, you must stop him with this." She says as she materializes a submachine gun for Yukina to use.

"Right. Jack, I will save you!" Yukina shouts as she takes aim.

"YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME WITH THAT DINKY GUN?! HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT!!!" Jack screams as husband and wife prepare to face off with one another.
