I quickly turned the shower head off, dryed myself and hurried up to my jeans that had been lying there since we arrived the day before. There hanging out of my pocket was Noens number. I remember what he looked like. But for some reason, everything about him seemed blurred except his eyes. They stared into my soul like some possessed crystal. My brother called my name making me realize I had been sitting there for 20 minutes staring at the same number for so long I could guarantee I would've memorized it. "What?!" I call from the bathroom crumbling up the number in my back pocket of my shorts. "Pizza is here I need 15 dollars!!!" "Pizza?!" I said "When did you order pizza?!?" "Does it matter?" He calls back. "Just tell me where the money is!!" He says back. "Ugh forget Ill do it. Steven retrieved himself back into the same spot playing the same game. I get up and start digging through my wallet and open the door. My whole face went red. "N-Noen?" I ask in disbelief. "Oh.." His face went red too. He scratched the back of his neck. "Umm..this is awkward!" "Uh yeah" I say back. After 2 minutes of silence, I hand him the money and he grabs it without hesitation. Before I close the door He puts his foot in between the door and looks up at me. "Do you have a moment?" "Yeah. Sure." I say I hand him his pizza and walk outside with Noen. "I never caught your name." He says. "Oh um Its Marilyn." I say smiling. "Really? That's my aunts name!!" "Oh that's.. nice" I say. "Did you uh.. Get the number?" He says smirking. "Um yeah actually. I say. I pull it out of my pocket and show him. "But like how did you-" "Misdirection" He says in a mysterious voice. I giggle. Another awkward silence passes through... I swallow. "Uh I'm gonna go eat some pizza. You can call me whenever." I write on the back of the paper he gave me with his number and wrote mine. "But don't you-" I cut him off the same way he cut me off. "I memorized it." He laughs. "Well I'd better.. Go back to work. Bye." I closed the door. "See ya."
