Sara's P.O.V:
I just recently got a text from Lia and I might actually go, but I have book club on that day. Dangit! Ms. Baker wouldn't mind if I only missed one day, right? Well, I head into class waiting for Ms. Baker to teach.
"Alright class! Please hand in your project at this desk!" Ms. Baker says, as she points to the back of the room. Oh crap! I forgot my project at home, what am I going to do! "Ms. Baker, what if your project is at home?" I ask with a nervous grin. "If your project is turned in late, 25 points will be taken off." She says.
Okay I gotta admit, that's better than nothing. I might as well turn it in tomorrow morning. After my talk with Ms. Baker, someone taps me on the shoulder from behind. "Hey, did you hear about Ed? There's rumors going around that he's Ms. Baker's son."
Wait what the fuck! I hope it's not true, Lia would be so pissed off. Why would anyone want to be Ms. Baker's child? She doesn't look like a mother to me. I receive another text from Lia during class, it says "Group gathering at lunch after class."
Oh gosh. Christine is going to be so mad at me, for not sitting with her at lunch. Especially if I'm sitting with her arch enemy, Lia. The bell has rung and I walk my way to the cafeteria.
Christine's P.O.V:
I'm so nervous, I want to go but at the same time I don't want to go. What's the point of this stupid meeting? Who knows, Sara might be there too. So I guess I'll go.
I walk into the cafeteria and wait in the lunch line. Ugh, I hate school lunches! They have the worst food on the planet, no lie! I'm pretty sure they microwave food, instead of baking it or putting it in the oven.
Still waiting in line, I hear a bunch of random talk about that dude Ed. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe Ed is Ms. Baker's son.", "That's gross. Ed is too hot to be her son!", "Ms. Baker is such a weirdo, why would she lie about something like this?"
Holy crap. Ms. Baker is Ed's mother? This has got to be a lie. Wait maybe it isn't! I remember Ed stays after school everyday, to help Ms. Baker clean the classroom. This is odd, Ed is Italian but Ms. Baker is French. Whatever this rumor is, I'm pretty sure no one cares anyway.
I grab my tray and walk to the table Lia is sitting at. My heart is beating and I get a weird, tingly feeling in my tummy. I sit down and Lia just smiles at me, I guess that's a good sign. "Okay, everyone here?" Lia says with her mouth full. "Except for Nina!" Yells Sara.
I'm glad Sara's here, I would feel really awkward without her. While everyone is waiting for Nina, we see her walking towards us with a bunch of ranch packets!
"What in the hell.." Says Sara. "Ranch all day, everyday!" Nina yells as she settles down next to Lia. I totally forgot, Nina is obsessed with ranch! She'll use it for anything and everything.
"Alright guys, now that everyone is here, let's start! The reason that I had invited you all to this meeting is because strange things have been happening. I recently received an unknown note into my locker, and I would like it if you guys could help me brake the code." Lia says as she stares at me.
I hope she doesn't think I put that note in her locker because that was totally last year drama. I am now able to tell things straight up to people, honestly. "What did the note say?" Everyone said in unison. "Jinx!" We all say as we started knocking on the table.
"Okay guys, seriously. We need to figure this out." Lia says as she pulls the note out. "The note has the initials D.B.G and I know it's not you Christine. So you don't have to worry about me blabbing at you. Anyway, inside the note reads, "Inflamed your temper; I knew all along that you were a traitor." She says as she folds the paper back in place.
