Everything was still dark but I heard noises and voices. My head was in so much pain. I opened my eyes and at first I was blinded by light but then my eyes adjusted. I tried to sit up but it hurt too much.

"Amara! I'm so glad your okay."My mom said as she rushed to my side.

"What happened?"I asked her.

"You don't remember? The party? The shooting?"Amoura asked me.

I sat there thinking for a second and then it all came back to me. It made my head hurt even more. I remember people wasn't just screaming my name. I quickly looked around, not seeing him.

"Where is Kentrell?"I asked them.

"He's in another room. Calm down."My mom told me.

"Is he okay?"I asked worried.

"Mara, listen. You were only grazed by one of the bullets. Kentrell actually got shot twice and even though they did surgery to get the bullets out, he hasn't woke up yet."She told me.

"I have to go see him."I said trying to get up.

"Mara, you ca~"

"Ow!"I yelled in pain.

"Mara, lay back down. You have to rest and recover."She said helping me back in the bed.

"Mom, I need to see him."I said to her.

"I know and you will when it's time. He hasn't woke up but he's stable. Everything is going to be okay."She said rubbing my back to comfort me.

"What's today?"I asked her.

"The 24th. Happy Birthday by the way."

I laid down and then I pull the blanket over my head. I hugged myself as I cried silently. I just kept thinking about the other night.

I had a bad feeling, why couldn't he just listen to me? How can I go from hearing him saying he love me to hearing he hasn't woke up? Why would somebody shoot at us anyway? People so evil for no reason.

"Where's Kind?"I asked not getting from under the blanket.

"She's with Chris, he's supposed to be bringing her up here soon."She told me.
