[Polaris' POV]
Just like last weekend, this week went by faster than we had expected. Today is April 27th, the day of that crazy neighborhood party Ashtynn was talking about. I was waiting for her in the living room while she was changing upstairs. Ashtynn said that the party had a Hawaiian theme. I had no idea what 'Hawaiian' was, so Keegan, reluctantly, had to pick out my outfit.
Soon enough, she came skipping down the stairs. She looked really cute: a black long-sleeved shirt that was almost skin tight and off-the-shoulders, white shorts with a floral design, black sneakers that she called 'Converses', and her adorable, circular glasses.
"What do ya think?" she asked, smiling and spinning a bit so I can see her entire outfit.
In awe, I got up from the sofa and gently grabbed her by her waist, pulling her a bit closer. "You're gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous."
Ashtynn's cheeks tinted into a bright red, and she hid her face into the crook of my neck. I smiled. I'm glad that these events that Ashtynn had mentioned are getting her mind off me leaving in a few weeks. I'm also glad that she's become a little attached to me—I love the way she hugs me, the way she ruffles my hair when I ask a stupid question, the way she smiles and blushes when I compliment her. I love everything about her.
I want to make her mine. And these parties were some great opportunities to.
"Alright, alright. Back it up." Keegan said, pushing his arms in between. Ashtynn looked up at me as Keegan ripped my arms away from her waist. Her eyes were pleading, begging me to wrap my warmth around her again. I smiled and winked, indicating that I'd definitely hug her again. Ashtynn took my hand and pulled me towards the door.
"We'll be leaving now."
I nodded at Keegan. "Don't worry. I'll have her back by 11."
Keegan smiled and motioned a hand gesture. "Go and be young, you rambunctious teens."

The second Ashtynn and I turned the corner, the neighborhood had an entirely new vibe. The music was so loud that it made my skin tingle and my head throb a little. Over the thumping bass, we could hear hazy chatter and screaming in the distance. The more we walked into the center of the neighborhood, the clearer the chatter became and the more people were present.
Ashtynn wrapped her arms around my right one. I looked down at her, and she looked back at me before looking to her right. I turned my gaze to where she was looking and noticed some other teenagers smirking and winking at her.
I furrowed my eyebrows, my sharp aqua-green eyes staring daggers. They noticed my gaze, but decided to ignore me. I lowered myself to Ashtynn's height and buried my head in the crook of her neck.
"P-Polaris!" she whisper-screamed.
I giggled and decided to keep going just to annoy them. Grabbing and squeezing her waist, I began to plant little kisses on her neck. Ashtynn flinched and started to shake a bit.
"Mine..." I whispered.
I glanced back at the guys—they whispered to each other, looked back at me, got up and left. I sighed, backing away from Ashtynn's neck. She pressed herself against my chest and looked me dead in the eyes, red dusted all over her cheeks.
I smiled. "You okay?"
Her blush deepened. "D-Do you think I'm o-okay?"
"I asked you a question."
"Yeah, I'm okay. What'd you do that for?"
I furrowed my eyebrows. "I don't like it when other guys look at you like that."
"You d-didn't have to do th-that though..."
I snickered. "I don't think you mind at all."
Ashtynn pouts but the second I look away, she lightly touches her neck, as if she misses the feeling she got when I kissed her. I intertwined my fingers with hers, somewhat apologizing for what I did to her. She smiles, appreciating the small gesture.
"So, what do you usually do at these block parties?"
The small girl's face lit up. "Wanna do some dancing?"
I nodded. In all honesty, I didn't know how to dance, nonetheless how teenagers dance. Ashtynn and I finally made it to the center of the neighborhood. Teens were chugging down cans of cola and grinding on each other senselessly to the thumping music. Ashtynn looked a bit grossed out but kept her confidence nonetheless. She takes my hand and pulls me into the middle of the dancing. I look down at her, waiting to see what she does. Her face flushes a bit as begins to sway her hips to the beat of the music.
I smirked. "Who knew you could dance?"
"Sh-Shut up!"
Ashtynn turns around and takes my hands from behind herself, her body almost touching mine. I've never knew Ashtynn could act so...promiscuous. I flinch when Ashtynn's butt comes into contact with my lower region. I don't want to embarrass her, so I buck my hips until I find Ashtynn's rhythm.
Ashtynn shudders when I grab her waist. "Who know you could dance like this."
I smirk. "I learn from the best."
I slowly slide one hand from her waist all the way up her body until I cupped her chin. Lifting her head upwards, I lean closer and closer to her face. Her blush deepens and her lips part slightly as our noses brush. I could feel her hot breath on my face until—
BANG!
I whipped my head up and moved Ashtynn behind me. Then everyone started running. I didn't know what was happening, so I lifted Ashtynn onto my back and started sprinting in the direction everyone else was going. People passing us started laughing, throwing cans behind themselves. I glanced behind my shoulder for a second, and saw blue and red lights frantically flashing.
'The police,' I thought. Ashtynn told me not to get caught with them. So I began to pick up my pace, turning the corner and leaving the rowdy neighborhood. Ashtynn began to laugh a bit, leaning back and swinging her arms into the air.
"Woohoo! Polaris, that was so much fun!" Her voice pitched higher when she said 'fun'.
"Haha, well I'm glad it was!"
Once the small girl calmed down, she wrapped her arms around my neck, leaning her head against my nape.
She sighed, "Thanks, Polaris."
I hummed in reply. Ashtynn began to doze off, and the second before she fell asleep, she whispered something almost inaudible but loud enough for me to hear.
I love you.
