"jimin hyung, I think I should move out from joonie hyung's apartment"
Jimin looks at Jungkook as if he was a crackhead
"w-what! But why kookie" the little time within which jimin has known Jungkook, he has realized how much the younger adores his joonie hyung and jimin was confused at why was the kid even thinking something this stupid.
"jimin hyung, i-I feel like I am being a burden to him and he is planning to get married and if i stay around, w-wh-what if he starts hating me" his voice was clearly cracking and jimin could see that for sure, because Jungkook has become as dear to him as Taehyung.
"kookie....why would you even think like that? Did you even talk to Namjoon hyung?" Jungkook shakes his head and jimin sighs "then how can you think so low of him, that he will hate you if he gets married, which I don't think is going to happen.....anytime soon and think how he will feel if he comes to know about this, huh?" jimin says while squeezing jungkook's shoulder
"jimin hyung, pls don't tell joonie hyung abot this....i didn't mean to hurt him, I just want him to not hate me" Jungkook says while looking at the green grass
"is that all?" hearing that Jungkook looks at him confused
"you just want him not to hate you?" jimin rephrases his question
"wh-what do you mean hyung?" Jungkook stutters as he squirms under jimin's scrutinizing gaze
"kookie...I will ask you this one question...I want you to answer me sincerely, ok?" Jungkook looks up at jimin while nervously biting onto his lower lip and nodding
"don't you see your joonie hyung as more than just your hyung?" jimin could see kookie's pale skin turning into a light shade of pink which makes jimin want to chuckle but he stops himself to let the younger answer
"hyung! What are you talking about...I don't understand" Jungkook says looking away
"kookie, don't try to fool me, ok, don't you want your joonie hyung to not see you as a kid anymore instead, to see you as a man" at this, jimin sees something flicker in jungkooks eyes and his shyness turn to disappointment
"but he would never see me as one, hyung and it h-hurts" this time when Jungkook looks up at jimin, his eyes were sparkling with unshed tears
"kookie, how would you know if you don't try....how about you try talking to him about this, huh?" as soon as those words leave jimin's mouth, Jungkook shoots up from the grass and looks down at his hyung as if jimin just betrayed him in a war
"HYUNG!!! ARE YOU CRAZY...JOONIE HYUNG CAN NEVER KNOW ABOUT THIS" jimin looks around to see that they were alone and then sighs and stands up to try and match kookie's height (which he failed miserably) and keeps his hand on his shoulder once again to give it a little squeeze
"why kookie? Just think...what if he also thinks the same way?" for a min it felt like Jungkook was thinking of that possibility but suddenly he shakes his head
"no, don't try to put those beautiful thoughts into my mind hyung, because if that was the case, he would never agree to meet his suitors" again his face turns gloomy
"kookie....cant it be that he thinks just like you and..."jimin couldn't complete what he was saying as Jungkook cuts him off
"no hyung....please don't say anything...because its already hard for me and I don't want to ruin my limited days with my hyung because of my stupid feelings....i want to spend whatever days I have left, being whatever he wants.....which is not a man he lo-l-loves" and finally those pent up tears make way out of his eyes and jimin offers to rest the younger's face in his shoulder to let him cry
