Chapter 23

Namjoon looks straight into his Kookie's eyes and all he could see was the sparkle in those bambi eyes and he couldn't help himself but to stand up and hug him and he did just that. He felt a sharp intake of breath by Jungkook but he couldn't help his pitiful self and tightens his hug

"h-hyung?" comes Kookie's confused voice

"I I missed y-you Kookie" now Namjoon couldn't stop himself....it has been a few months now since they have been this close to each other and as soon as those words leaves his mouth he feels Jungkook relax and two arms snakes around his waist.

They stand there hugging each other for god knows how long but Namjoon was forced to break the hug when he hears Kookie sniffle

"Kookie?" he lifts Kookie's face from the crook of his neck and makes him face him only to see tear stains down Kookie's chubby cheeks which Namjoon notices were more defined than before.

But before Namjoon could ask anything further Kookie distances himself from Namjoon and starts looking through the first aid box while wiping his tears. But Namjoon wasn't going to let this opportunity slide, even if they live together, its been so rare that he gets to see Kookie. So he stops Kookie from whatever he was doing by holding onto his hand and making him stand up once again. But Jungkook tries to avoid his eyes

"Kookie look at me" comes Namjoon's serious voice which makes Jungkook to look up

"where were you?" Namjoon asks now that he has Kookie's full attention

"college hyung" Kookie says while averting his eyes

"I didn't mean today Kookie, I mean all this time, this past few weeks...you do realize that even after living together, we are seeing each other after one whole month, right?" now that Namjoon was stating the facts, Kookie couldn't help but feel dishearten at the fact that he was avoiding his hyung and was caught.

"I was busy hyung" as soon as he completes his sentence he curses himself

"with what?" comes Namjoon's now indifferent voice

"college" Kookie decides to stand his ground

"bullshit, Jungkook you cant fool me with the excuse of college for every single question" now Namjoon was getting impatient, he couldn't help but feel angry at the fact that his Kookie was lieing to him and was keeping things from him.

Jungkook looks up at his hyung in shock, Namjoon has never snapped at him before or had been this angry. Yes he was trying to avoid him but he was really busy with his college with his semester coming to an end and all. But why wasn't Namjoon believing him, this has never happened before...was he already getting tired of him?

Was the thought that came to Jungkook's mind

"sorry hyung" with that Jungkook was about to turn around and leave but Namjoon holds onto his wrist and turns him with so much force that Kookie bangs into his chest and looks up at him.

On seeing his Kookie's sparkling eyes all his anger goes down and for the first time in his life his eyes wander off to his Kookie's trembling lips which had a slight pout, and those rosy lips makes Namjoon lick his own lips

Jungkook sees his hyung lick his lips and he realizes where his hyung's eyes were fixed and he gets confused at his hyung's reaction

They stare into each other's eyes and Namjoon could feel himself leaning in but suddenly they were distracted by Namjoon's phone ringing and that's when reality hits him of what he was about to do.

He creates some distance between them and looks at Jungkook with a serious face

" we are not done yet" saying that he receives the phone call while Jungkook stands there confused about the things that happened a few minutes back.
