summary
beelzebub and gabriel are the leaders of their kind. the pair have been meeting, and everyone outside of the locked doors thinks it's about business. the archangel and the prince of hell know it's not.
they had known each other before. before she fell, before things changed. beelzebub, as hard as she tried not to, found herself going back, replaying the memories in her head. gabriel looked so much happier back then.
the door clicked as it opened, and gabriel walked in. his stance and posture was professional, his spine stiff and his shoulders up. when the door was closed and locked, the appearance melted. gabriel sat down on the couch, taking a deep breath.
beelzebub slid off the table and walked over to him. the meetings had started out as business, cold conversations where they never dared to step even an inch closer to each other. purely professional, purely business.
and then it changed. as beelzebub plopped down on the couch next to gabriel, she remembered the first time she quietly slid her hand onto gabriel's thigh, silently terrified of his response. gabriel had stopped talking for a moment, and simply stared at the pale hand on his leg. the contact had hurt, a gently painful tingling, the cost of a touch shared between an angel and a demon. neither of them said a word for what could have been eternity. beelzebub kept her hand there, gabriel stared at it, and both of their throats had grown too dry to form any words.
and it happened again, and again. when beelzebub wasn't touching him, gabriel found himself wanting her to, longing for the pain of the contact that he had found so much pleasure in. so his hands would find their way up her body, gentle and sensual. the touches turned to kisses and the kisses turned to...
seconds after she sat down, beelzebub reached over and found herself straddling gabriel's legs, his strong hands firm on her hips. sex was stupid, human, but it felt so good. that was enough for them. running heaven and hell was stressful, but when they returned to each other the stress could just disappear.
beelzebub desperately ripped off her uniform, and when she was shirtless, she reached over and loosened gabriel's tie and shirt. they threw the garments aside. every time one of his clean shirts hit the dirty floor, gabriel cringed. slightly frustrated with beelzebub's carelessness towards his angelic garments, he grabbed her by the waist and pressed his lips to hers. she kissed him back, parting her lips and grinding on his thigh. they pressed their bodies together, reaching, grabbing, a kind of strange conflict but a harmony all the same. gabriel unbuckled his belt hastily, his fingers reaching desperately at the leather strip.
beelzebub clawed at his shoulders and chest hungrily, and the kiss had dissolved into her teeth against his neck and jawline. gabriel pushed beelzebub down roughly, pinning her hands above her head. beelzebub growled, pushing gabriel up. gabriel, in response, grabbed her hip and lowered one of his hands down to pleasure her. he earned a small gasp from beelzebub, but she pressed against him while trembling and managed to get on top of him instead. he stopped as she began to lower herself onto him.
"oh, fuck," gabriel groaned softly. beelzebub bit her lip when he was fully inside her, her body soft and wet around him.
the dirty couch creaked as beelzebub started to move up and down. as she sped up, gabriel's hips started buck up with her movements. in gabriel's mind, it was pathetic. like he had never been ridden before. in this embarrassment, he mustered up the strength to push beelzebub off of him, immediately entering her again when she was underneath him. he pinned her hands over her head, her nails digging into his skin.
beelzebub growled in between soft moans. she knew gabriel favored the position, but how could she let herself be taken under him once again?
the question is answered in his strength as he pins her down, thrusting into her. not once had gabriel pressed her down so hard that she wouldn't have been able to escape the hold, not once had she been really scared he was going to hurt her. she knew she had thought about it, killing him. and she knew the look in his eyes when he thought about killing her, when she was sprawled out under him, vulnerable and writhing. it was a strange mix of sadness and pride in his half-lidded violet eyes. they got cloudy, not with pleasure, but with concern. beelzebub had learned to trust. that wasn't something she knew how to do before.
gabriel pushed into her, earning a loud moan and her legs wrapping around him. her back arched when he thrusted again, hitting the same spot, until her moans turned to screams of pleasure and she came with him inside her.
with no words exchanged, gabriel continued thrusting, her cries of overstimulation edging him closer. he groaned as he came, his warm seed filling beelzebub's insides. he didn't pull out for a moment, and they both laid, weakened and panting. when he did pull out, beelzebub's breath hitched. the two sat on the couch, saying nothing. gabriel glanced at beelzebub, eyeing her body, taking it in so he could think about it when he couldn't go to her.
gabriel couldn't let beelzebub know how much he enjoyed her body, thought about just holding it, thought about her smile which he rarely ever saw and knew not how to cause. how much he wished he did know.
beelzebub always caught the glance, and it made her smile on the inside. that little display of joy never shone through. she was sure not to let it.
although he was already exhausted, gabriel dropped to his knees and spread beelzebub's legs. beelzebub looked down at him, pleasure already clouding her pale gray-blue eyes. gabriel pressed his face between her thighs, leaving marks on the insides of them as he approached beelzebub's soft core. a trail had been left where gabriel's cum had spilled out of beelzebub when her body couldn't hold anymore, but gabriel didn't care. his tongue worked gently, and he glanced up at beelzebub every few moments to make sure he was doing alright. her hands reached for his hair, her fingernails digging into his scalp.
confidence filled gabriel when beelzebub started to shiver and tremble, letting small moans slip through her lips. the moans grew louder, and gabriel grew rougher, his hands wrapped so firmly around her thighs they were bruising. beelzebub screamed as she came and gabriel looked up at her, smirking. gabriel stood up and sat back down on the couch, listening to beelzebub as she breathed heavily, still recovering.
for the first time, ever, beelzebub just relaxed completely and placed her head on gabriel's lap. the advance wasn't sexual in any way, just a small gesture that sent shivers up gabriel's spine anyway. he reached down cautiously and ran a hand gently through her black hair.
beelzebub sat up, suddenly. she scooted to the other side of the couch. the mindless impulse was too much a romantic moment, and romance was not something the prince of hell was going to get herself tangled up in. as much as she wanted to.
gabriel shared this mindset, and he quickly collected his clothes from the dirty floor, brushing them off and putting them back on. he smoothed out the wrinkles and fixed his hair, careful not to look at beelzebub as she lay, still naked, on the couch. when he did look over to nod a wordless goodbye, beelzebub was fully dressed.
when gabriel walked out of the room, he was revisited by the urge he felt every time he left. the urge to turn around, go back. despite that, he didn't. he refused to give in to such foolish emotions, he refused to go back, no matter how much he wanted to. as he walked down the disgusting hallway, dagon walked past him, snarling. he nodded to her coldly.
no one knew what happened between gabriel and beelzebub when the doors were closed.
beelzebub, inside the room, was fast asleep on the couch. her exhaustion had gotten the better of her. when dagon knocked sharply on the door, beelzebub realized she had drifted off, and she sat up quickly. the flies buzzed around her head and she swatted one of them off her nose.
she had fallen asleep.
that was much too human for beelzebub's liking. was she turning into a human? the thought shook her.
she snarled and dagon's footsteps receded.
beelzebub thought about all the little smiles and laughs she and gabriel had shared before the fall. she thought about how much she had taken for granted their friendship, and she thought about how that friendship had dissolved into burning hatred after the fall. it hurt her to acknowledge that things could never go back to the way they were. gabriel could never hold her after their meetings, they could never stand pressed against each other in a small display of affection when others were around. they could never be anything more than enemies, opposing sides, when the doors weren't closed.
beelzebub sighed and stared at the dirty ceiling.
far away, in heaven, gabriel did the same.
