School was something any kid can't avoid. It's a staple as it is a basic in life. All any kid wants to do is get it over with so they can move on with their lives as adults. You know wake up, dress up, school, lunch, homework, sleep, repeat.

There's just one difference in Yang Y/n's school life.

"Yah!! Yang Y/n!"

In her school schedule, there's also bullies.

God. What does he want now? She thought as she tried to walk away further from him.

"Hey! I was talking to you! You should learn to listen to your sunbae." a hand grabbed her shoulder and forced her to turn around.

"Only if the sunbae deserves to be treated as so, Kim Taehyung." you said back, eyes squinting.

His friends all ooh'ed and aah'ed. Someone's really testing his buttons. Taheyung's grin slowly disappears, replaced by a scowl.

"I'm being nice Oh Y/n. You're lucky a boy like me is talking to you. After Mingyu left, you probably haven't had any interaction with any boys at all." he snickered.

That's when he struck a chord. No one has mentioned your ex Mingyu since he moved out of the school. You tried to convince him that you two can stay together since he was just moving schools and not cities, but he didn't see it that way. In the end, you were the gonner. Everyone in school knew but didn't bother talking about it since you weren't a star couple.

"I don't have time for this." you said out loud before walking away. Taehyungs friends were wailing behind how you were a wimp, backing out.

"THAT'S RIGHT! Walk away!! Just like Mingyu did!" Taehyung's voice caught up to you making his friends laugh louder. You fought hard to not let a tear out. Girls around you showing a little bit of pity. You didn't need that. You just wanted peace and quiet. The only place you can get that from was the library.

You come there a lot. You knew Taheyung and his gang never came there. Strictly for nerds, as they call it. Come to think of it, only a hand full of students come in on the regular days. It only gets packed during exams. Of course, studying isn't the only reason you came in here though.

Walking in, you made a beeline for the last shelf at the right end of the library. For some reason your school library was an 'L' shape. All shelves are on one side so when it came to the bottom of the 'L', there's a corner section that's oblivious to all. You made it a point to make this your quiet spot where you can read, leaning on the wall, occasionally looking out to the full wall window. It's shelves were filled with the oldest books and encyclopedias so no one bothered to look here. Plus the bottom shelf was half empty so you placed your favorite books there for your own reading pleasure. One book in particular is your favorite. It was a constellation book. It looked very vintage, delicate yet alluring. Black with light purple writing.

The real gem is the piece of paper inside. On it were scribbles of notes and short messages. From you and a secret sender.

You came across this book when you first moved here last year. It was at the bottom shelf, not upright. When you opened it, the paper fell out with only a few words.

Penny for your thoughts?

You had no idea who wrote it. There was no indication. You replied nonetheless.

Dollar for your time.

You didn't expect a reply back but coming back in the next day, there was one.

LoL that was good. Seriously though. Anything to share?

At first you were skeptical. Was this the librarian? A student? Nerd? Jock? Typical of you to think but you went on replying anyway. It took only a few days before you confirmed that it was a student, your batch, your class. You only knew a handful of your classmates but none of them were close enough to you. Your friends were in another class.
