Ryan -a little later-
"really dude?! she's dead asleep just come get me." i hear Jack whisper shout. i open one of my eyes and loo towards my door. the hall light is on and i can see him pacing. my door is more open the what it was and i now have a blanket over me, which i didn't when i fell asleep a few hours ago.
"skate.....okay i get that but i wanna go home to-okay. okay...yea, bye." he sighs and i sit up a little in my bed.
"pacing is annoying." i say. he stops at my door and peeks in.
"sorry. i didn't know you were awake." he says
"i wasn't. you talk loud." i say.
"sorry. go back to sleep." he says. he closes my door a bit.
"Jack." i say. a few seconds later my door opens
"thank you. for staying here. and taking me home." i say.
"yea. of course." he says. his eyes flicker to my nightstand. the light from outside my room lands perfectly on the picture of us. a small smile plays on his lips as he studies it.
"you framed it?" he asks. i nod.
"why?" he asks.
"i don't know. to remind me i guess." i say
"remind you of what?" he asks
"when i was happy." i lay back.
"ryan." he says softly.
"hm?" i ask.
"i treated you like shit. how could you have been happy?" he asks.
"cuz i was with you. i didn't care, obviously." i say.
"we were toxic." he says with a small laugh. i nod with a smile
"really toxic." i say.
"right person, wrong time." he says
"when is the right time?" i ask. a few moments of silence pass.
"soon." he says.
"hopefully." he adds. i nod
"the guest room is okay for you to sleep in. the sheets are new and stuff." i say. he nods and goes to close my door.
"do you feel okay, ryan? after tonight i jus-"
"i really don't feel like talking about it right now." i say. he nods and then walks out closing my door. i sigh and lay back on my bed. my head runs wild with thoughts. i should call him back in here. to lay with him again. to have that moment back. but, that would be crazy of me. insane. god what i would do to have his touch on me one more time.
