Chapter 18 - Happiness is all you need

We went back to Auradon and I instantly felt safer.

But I still felt a bit off and so I told everyone that I was going back to just from for some rest.

They all hesitated at first but allowed me to go back to my dorm

As I got in I immediately sat in my bed and let out small cries as I hugged my knees.

I couldn't believe what I did to the people that I love.

Especially Carlos.

Wait.

He kissed me.

Then it hit me.

He only kissed me to break the spell.

My thoughts were interrupted but my door opening.

I quickly turn my head towards to door to see Carlos himself.
He doesn't look okay though.

He looks up and meets my eyes and sighs.

He sadly walks over to me and crouches down on the ground in front of me.

I look away but I feel his hand come under my chin to lift my chin and turn my head towards him.

I look him in the eye and I open my mouth to say something, but before I do, I feel lips softly lacy onto mine.

I freeze first to actually figure out what was happening but then I decide to just go with it, so I sat to kiss him back.

That's when I realised that I had happiness with me all along and also in front of my eyes, but I was too caught up in what could be happening that I didn't realise what was actually going on.

I feel Carlos' hand sneak it's way to my waist as my hands find their way to his hair.

After a couple of minutes we break the kiss gasping for air as we're leaning our foreheads together.

I meet his eyes and smile at him as he smiles back.

"I love you" he whispers.

I smile even more and kiss him again, soft but quick.

I look into his eye again.

"I love you too"
