Another dead.

Hunter shot out on another knight taking it down by its weight and thrashed on it until its last breath. Exhaustion was slowly taking over his stamina. The stream of enemies didn't seem to be ending, but the battle continued, each kill taking the wolf's strength and leaving his body with a new scar. His legs wobbled, and dark spots appeared before his eyes.

A sudden whip of air and loud growl jolted back Hunter's senses. He saw Cole's ginger wolf straddling a knight and ripping out its head. Cole stepped back from the dead body and turned to Hunter and gave him an arrogant huff almost saying 'you-fool'.

Hunter sighed knowing one moment of weakness could cost him his life, and it would now if not for Cole. He looked around, seeing his pack battling it out with the waves of bloodsuckers. The vigor and intensity of the bloodthirst with which they had started had now dimmed down to mere survival. They were tired too.

But still this all seemed too easy, which didn't sit right with him. There has to be something else.

His eyes widened as he recalled Jared telling him how Odis was killed. Dimitri's army had attacked them from west, forcing wolves out and leaving other sides of pack house with little to no protection.

Hunter growled, fucker isn't pulling that trick again!

He immediately dashed to the other side of forest, mind linking others. He could hear the thump of Cole's feet right behind him.

This time Dimitri wouldn't get away.

As Iosif rounded the corner, he bumped into a hard body. The scent engulfing his nose made him relax. His mate, Kyle.

"Are they coming?" Kyle asked about Sounia and others.

"Yes." Iosif side stepped and continued toward the backdoor. He was ahead of them to make sure knights hadn't infiltrated the other side to allow Marley and others easy path to Dimitri.

Kyle once again stepped in front of him, halting his quick steps. Iosif glared at his mate. There was no time to waste, every second was precious.

In return Kyle cupped his cheeks. "Snow," he whispered and leaned down to catch his lips in a deep kiss. Long gone was Iosif's glare as his eyes closed themselves relishing in his mate's warm mouth.

When they broke the kiss, Kyle looked at him with sympathy which—even though from Iosif's cold nature—wasn't unwelcomed. "I'm sorry it has to be this way. I know how much you love your brother."

Iosif's jaw clenched. "It needs to be done," he said coldly, but Kyle caught the little glint in his eyes, projecting his mate's pain.

With that white-haired male once again set off, the other man right on his tail.

"So, are we going to run to that fucker?" Theo asked, trying to keep his distance from Sounia, who wasn't very keen on granting him that wish.

She didn't trust these wolves, who might use her mate to get to her. Her own cousin, Iosif, had already done that...

"There are jeeps. They are for the jungles," Marley answered, "we are going to use them."

"Iosif is already ahead. He isn't going to use any vehicles when his legs are faster," Joseph said, his quick steps urging others to walk faster. "Neither am I going to sit on those. You three are going to drive there." He looked at Marley, Sanjay, and Theo. "Others are going to be on foot to eliminate any threats."
