Julian, Mega, Jasper, and Liam all sat on Jasper's porch in a comfortable silence. The three men had shown up to chill with Jasper because they knew that he was sitting at home worried and wondering where Mia was. She hadn't called him ever since she'd disappeared on New Years and the only text she sent him was one telling him not to worry about her and that she was doing her. Not understanding exactly what that meant Jasper could only imagine what she was out here doing or where she was. She hadn't even asked about their daughter. The woman she'd hit that night wanted to press charges on her but didn't have a name for her. Jasper had been questioned but to protect Mia he'd lied as if Mia was some random woman he'd met when he got to the party. He told the police a fake name saying that was the only name he'd gotten out of her.
Mia had accused him of cheating and wanting to cheat on her when he'd been innocent that time. He'd really tried to change but she'd set him off with her accusations and her hitting him. In return he reacted and hit her back. He wasn't trying to control her blowing her up over the last three days. He was genuinely concerned about the well-being of his daughter's mother who hadn't even mentioned their child. He'd noticed how sometimes she was attentive towards their daughter and other days she was distant. It was like she was there physically but emotionally and mentally she was somewhere else. He didn't know what to make of it. He never asked or talked to her about it because he knew she was a first time mother so he was trying to allow her to adjust.
His boys passed the blunt around and when it made its way to him he declined staring at his phone hoping to receive a text or call.
"She gon' call Jas." Liam told him. "Give her that space she need."

"What don't we get?" Julian asked raising an eyebrow.
Jasper remained silent. It was easy for his friends to say the things they were saying because they didn't know Mia like he did. Jasper clenched his jaw and quickly called her phone as he walked away from his boys and started to walk back and forth waiting for her to pick up.

"I said get the fuck out!" He cut Liam off barging towards all of them who wasted no time getting the hell out of dodge. Jasper slammed the door closed behind them resting his back against the door closing his eyes trying to calm himself down. Mia was playing games with him and if that's how she wanted to play it he wasn't about to try to "change" anymore.
