The thing that Ethan shot me with must have just been a paralyzer because I was still completely aware of everything going on around me, I simply couldn't move. I let the men pick me up and place me on the gurney. They rolled me out of my room as Ethan walked beside me. He held his large gun up in front of his chest as he walked and it reminded me of the time we first met, when Ethan had pointed a gun at my chest. We turned a few corners before we made it to the examination room. I had not been to this room before and as we entered I could see Grayson laying on a similar gurney, trying desperately to yank free from his restraints.

"You can't do this to her! Please! She did nothing wrong! You'll kill her!" Grayson yelled

"Will you shut him up please?" The doctor asked Ethan

Ethan briskly walked over to Grayson and tied a piece of cloth around his mouth.

"Thank you." The doctor said

He picked up a large syringe and made his way over to Grayson.

"Ok, just so everyone is aware of the procedure, I will explain one more time. We will be extracting the bone marrow from Patient 53's hipbone and once it is sterilized we will proceed to inject it into Patient 54. We will inject Patient 54 with more of the virus to see if there has been any change. Is everyone clear on the plan?" The doctor said

The three nurses standing around him nodded and moved closer around Grayson. In a futile attempt to stop this I tried to throw myself off the gurney, unsuccessfully. I could feel my fingers move though, so I could tell that the paralyzer was slowly wearing off.

"Let's get started." I heard the doctor say

I silently said goodbye to Grayson; my teammate, my shoulder to cry on, my best friend. I could feel the tears slip down my face and the tightness in my chest worsening. At least I wouldn't have to live that much longer in a world where I had absolutely no one anymore. I glanced over to where Ethan was guarding the door and silently willed him to look at me. I saw Ethan's eyes move from his brother's body to my eyes as I tried to communicate silently with him. I'm sorry I couldn't fix you, Ethan. I hope you remember me someday because I will take your memories with me and I will always love you.

I saw Ethan's mouth open slightly as his eyebrows unfurrowed. I closed my eyes to blink the tears away and so that I wouldn't have to see the love of my life anymore while I laid on this gurney, getting ready to die. I'm sorry dad, I tried. I really tried to survive.

I heard a bang loud enough to shatter glass as my eyes flew open. I tried to take in the events unfolding in front of me as best as I could. The doctor laid on the linoleum floor; a large puddle of blood beginning to pool around his head. Two of the nurses were crouched behind Grayson's gurney while the third attempted to make it to the intercom to alert someone of what was happing. I caught sight of Ethan just as he shot the large gun he was holding and killed the nurse. He made two more shots for the other two nurses and immediately ran over to Grayson. I was too confused to react as he helped Grayson untie his restraints and stand him up.

"Here." Ethan said as he shoved a gun into Grayson's hands, "Guard the door while I get her. Shoot anyone that you see."

Grayson nodded and moved toward the door. Ethan ran over to me, determination set on his face.

"What's going on?" I asked as the paralyzer wore off enough for me to talk

"I told you... I had a plan." Ethan said as he tried to untie me from the gurney

"You're getting me out?" I asked

"I'm getting us all out." He said, as he looked me in the eyes
