"Wow you seem to have a lot happen career wise and well physically too.." I eye'd Toshi physique as we sat in his apartment enjoying some passion tea. "Haha you think so?" He gave a huge grin. "Ah duh! Have you seen yourself I mean shit you've always been taller and well built but sheesh" I playfully hit his arm making him give a fake hurt expression making us burst into laughter.
"I'm glad you're doing good Toshi I really am" I looked down on my cup smiling sadly. "Well actually I've been meaning to tell yo-" Toshinori broke out in a coughing fit he held on to his chest in pain mumbling something as smoke poofed out of nowhere making me freak out more.
"Toshi! Hey are you alright..T-Ty?" I had a confused expression holding on to his now skinny arm. "I-I'm Sorry.. I didn't want you seeing me like this.." he looked down on his lap feeling guilty for lying who he was when he first met you again and for not telling you what really happened. "I don't care I'm just really freaked out what just happened?! Are you dying !" I grabbed both his small shoulders tears threatening to fall. Yagi gave me a sad smile shaking his head.
After an hour of explaining what happened I just stood there in silent. Feeling guilty for not being there for him. For not being able to help him in a time of need. For running away because of my own selfish needs. What kind of best friend am I?
"Hey.. please don't feel bad .. I'm really happy you're back in my life y/n" he held my hand brushing my tears away. "I-I .." I didn't know where to begin but I just hugged him tightly letting my tears dampen his shoulder but he didn't seem to care he just held me the whole time.
After I finished crying he asked me something I really didn't need or want to answer.
"So .. um.. when are you going to confront Enji?" He scratched his neck. "I don't know. I don't know where to start how to even bring myself to tell him why." I looked away from his piercing blue eyes. "You know eventually he'll figure it out somehow" he sighed. "But he's scary! Like dumb scary !" I held onto my own shoulders remembering his cold gaze.
"Haha yea he's gotten more um.." Toshinori didn't know the exact words. "Mean? Cold? Angry?" I whined. "Yea basically" he gave a soft chuckle making me smile.
'How I've missed that smile..'
"What now.." I grumbled taking out my phone from my pocket.
"Hey what's up?" I casually spoke "HEY? Where are you missy!? You said you'd be back like a few hours ago?!" Dazai screamed making me roll my eyes. "Ugh yea yea sorry I was helping an elderly" I sighed. "Yea fucking right! Whatever just come back loser" Dazai hung up not mad just mostly annoyed you didn't tell him where you were. He was worried something might've happened.
"Sorry Toshi I forgot I gotta go back to work haha" I stood up giving him a cheeky smile. " it's no probably let's do this again tomorrow?" Toshi stood up mentally cringing that he sounded so desperate walking you out. "Hell Yea! I'll text you later okay!" I gave him a huge hug forgetting how he's more fragile in this form it made us both fall down.
"Ahh..I'm so stupid" I mumbled opening my eyes to being stared back with wide eyes and partly opened mouth.. "S-sorry!!" I stood up quickly still flustered that I was staring at those lips. "I-it's -ok" Toshinori couldn't look at you as he felt his heart would jump out his small chest.
"S-see ya!" I ran out the door like I just committed a crime but I could hear him laugh at my actions making me blush even more. 'Ughhh I'm so awkward!'
'She really hasn't changed huh' Toshi smiled falling onto his bed feeling butterflies.
After being scolded for worrying Dazai I got back to work and was finally back at the apartment where I just took a bubble bath to relax while Dazai went to a bar to "relax".
"Man today was a hell of a day" I sunk my body deeper into the bathtub letting my muscles enjoy the boiling hot water.
*ring ring*
"UGHHH" I angry picked up my phone 'who the hell is interrupting my zen'
"Zero?" A teen's voice spoke making me confused as ever. "Ah yeeeee who's speaking?" I asked. "It's Shoto Todoroki. How are you?" "G-good? What's up? Everything okay?" "Yes I called to ask for a favor"he sounded a bit off. "Yea I owe you one kiddo" I smiled through the phone. "I wanted to know since you're a painter .. if you could do a painting for me. My mother's birthday is coming up and I wanted to get her something special.." his voice grew quite. "Yea sounds like fun! Text me the details and we can work out something!" I sounded cheerful but in reality my heart did ache a bit. "Thank you so much Zero . I'll text you the details. Have a goodnight." "Anytime Shoto night" I hung up dropping my face in the water a bit gloomy. Thinking how Enji fell in love with someone .. he made Shoto..and other kids.. "this isn't the time to feel sorry for yourself y/n it's your fault anyways." I brought my knees to my chest sighing about what would happen next.
