Guys I think I'm back! After a few months of no updates ;-; thank you to whoever is sticking around 🖤🖤 please enjoy rate and happy readings 💕

It's been a few days since the whole dinner disaster. Dazai understood your situation and said to take as much time as you need before going back to work. Toshinori and you would talk for a few hours about the whole thing but you stood in your room in the dark sleeping your days away trying to collect your thoughts.

You were just eating a small snack aka dinner when you got a message.

'Hello Zero-San I hope you're doing well.
I don't want to seem rude or pushy but do you know when you will be finishing the painting?'

"Oh fac"

'Hey Shoto Sorry um..
do you know your father schedule so I could uh avoid him'

'Yes he's not come till 9/10 usually from work'

'Okay today I can possibly try and finish it if that's okay with you'

'Yes of course looking forwards towards your visit'

I sighed chucking my phone under my pillow letting my emotions get the best of me. I promised Shoto to finish this painting so I have no other choice but to keep my promise. ..

I sighed heavily as I stood at his door feeling my palms get sweaty.

*knock knock*

"Zero-San you're here I'm glad" Shoto opened the door giving me a soft smile that melted my heart a bit.

As Shoto left me some snacks and tea to have while I paint I couldn't help but get nervous. That in any second Enji would come home and I would have to face him once more..

"Hey hows the painting coming along?" Shoto walked in making me jump a bit getting out of my thoughts I waved my hand signaling him to come over.

"Take a look!" I smiled.
"Wow...it's ..beautiful.." he said lost in the painting.
"Really?? Ah I'm so glad you think so!" I immediately felt better after his reaction.
"She'll love it I'm positive. Words cannot express how happy I am with this" he gave me a soft smile.
"I'm glad please give her my best regards" I started packing my things but looked up when I felt his warm hand on my wrist.

"Shoto..is something wrong?" I stared at him curious.
"My father .. how do you know him.." he said quietly.
"Ah-it's a long story .. and-" I began to look away uncomfortable.
"If you don't want to tell me that's fine" he gave an apologetic smile. I bit my lip feeling guilty but knew right now wasn't the right time for me.

"I hope your mother has a great birthday Shoto, she must be really proud of you" I smiled and patted his head. "Thank you Zero-San" he blushed slightly touching his head.

(9:20 skip the song to)

"Well since the painting is finished I think an early birthday gift would be fine" shoto smiled to himself admiring the lovely painting.

"Welcome how may I assist you?" The front desk lady said.
"I'm here to see Rei Todoroki I'm her son Shoto Todoroki"
"Ah yes room 314 and just sign in" After Shoto signed in he stood in front of the door taking a deep breathe nervous she wouldn't like the gift but entered.

"Shoto this is a surprise" Rei said closing her book but smiled welcoming her son.
"Sorry I just wanted to come see you before your birthday" he sat down holding the wrapped gift.
"Well I'm happy to see you regardless" she softly smiled.
"Here" he placed the gift on her lap anticipating the reveal.
As she began to unwrap the gift she just stared in awe at the revealed flora painting.
"I-" was all she could say staring at the breathtaking painting.
"You don't like it? I'm sorry" Shoto looked down a bit sadden.
"N-no I love it I could tell just how much love went into this painting" she couldn't take her eyes off the painting. "Really? That's a relief. It was made by a nice artist I've met her name is Zero-San. She actually saved me once and we had her over for dinner as well" Shoto smiled. "She sounds like a lovely women but you had her over  for dinner?" Rei questioned since she didn't know how her husband would react.

"I. I have a feeling she knows father.."he said not knowing if it was the right thing to blurt out but he needed answers as to why he acted the way he did with her there.

"..your father he's never really liked being around people much less have proper conversations. He's never talked to me about his past either.." She began to frown at the thought that they never really knew each other in a more deeper level.
"Forgive me mother" Shoto said quietly knowing how much pain it brings her to even talk about him. "No no it's fine.  Your father would visit this elderly lady every chance he had to check on her but he would never tell me who she was. Just someone he had to take care of so I never pressed him on about it. She was getting sick and one day she just vanished" she frowned. "Just like that?" Shoto grew curious as in how would that be possible"

"Your father had multiple hero's on the search for her I knew she was close to him if he went endless days searching for her. Then one day in the middle of the night I heard him downstairs crying..he kept saying he's sorry he couldn't protect someone else. He kept asking for forgiveness to someone named Y/n .." she smiled sadly holding the painting close to her chest.
"Y/n.." could this possibly be Zero?

" could this possibly be Zero?

After hours~

It began to get dark but you were just wondering around the city of Tokyo. You left Shoto's home feeling a bit better but you couldn't shake off the feeling of being unworthy of Enji forgiveness. You sighed but then you straighten up feeling a weird presence lingering around. You stopped at a dead end alley rolling your eyes.

"If I were you I would show yourself"
"Haha well well I guess you caught me" a deep voice  joked.
"What the hell do you want" you shoved your hand into your pocket holding on to a dagger you kept around just in case since the Stain incident.

"I'm interested in your quirk it seems like a handy one" he chuckled.
You couldn't see him well but you could see the outline of his spiky hair.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm an artist I don't have a quirk" you tried playing it off.
"Seems like you're a lair as well." He laughed a bit.
"Whatever I'm leaving" you played it cool and tried walking pass him when he grabbed your hand burning it along with the dagger.
"Ah get off!!" You quickly pulled your hand away jumping back leaving space between you two. Your Heartbeat racing. You were scared.

"Now now I just wanna talk and want to recruit you is all"

"Recruit me?" You moved just right where the lights from restaurant were hitting and could see turquoise eyes and burned skin.
