A/N: Please note that I've never been to New York or Queens or anywhere in the North East, and that I'm mostly making everything up.

~Camille's P.O.V.~

  At first, I wasn't sure about going to Midtown. After all, it was a school for super smart people and, to be honest, I've never been the best student. But with the help of three people who I can gladly call my friends, I'm warming up to it.

  Speaking of friends, one of those three is currently walking towards me.  " 'Sup loser."

  "Hey MJ!" I happily waved as she came to a halt beside me.

  "You ready to go?" She asked, brushing her hair away from her face.

  I adjusted my backpack's position before responding with a grin, "You know it!" And with that we headed out the main doors. Today she was taking me on a tour of the city in celebration of my leg finally healing up.

  "First stop: my favorite place to go on Fridays after school."

  After almost an hour of walking, we entered a book café. It had a fall colour scheme with a warm, homey, welcoming feel. Right after entering, you became surrounded by plenty of comfy seating, but not enough to make me feel overwhelmed. To the left, there was a small, empty stage that looked as if it was just waiting for someone to fill it's spotlight. Straight ahead, was about a dozen shelves packed with books organized by genre. On our right was a small bakery with the most delicious-looking sweets on display, a sign over the case proudly stating all food was vegan. I could definitely tell why MJ liked this place so much.

  Wordlessly, we migrated to the book shelves; she started in the non-fiction, where as I started in fantasy, but we both ended up bumping into each other in the horror section. Sharing our finds, we took a seat by the window. It wasn't long before we got up and ordered.

  "What should I get?"

  "What makes you think I should know what you want?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

  "You've been here before and know what's good and-" I may or may not've started rambling.

  "Relax, I get it." She paused for a second, debating. "You seem like you'd love their pumpkin cake... And a peppermint bark Coco."

  After we received our treats, we returned to the table we had claimed earlier. She had gotten a large slice of banana bread and some latte I didn't know the name of, and I had exactly what she suggested.

  "So, where all are we going today?" I asked in between bites of the small cake.

  "Well, I was thinking we would visit Central Park and then on the way back to my place, stop by the record store. Sound good?"

  "Sounds perfect." I responded with sincerity.

  We made it to the edge of central park after walking another 30 minutes and I really enjoyed the journey and conversing with MJ.

  "I don't think I've gotten this much exercise since before I moved!"

  "Really? That's... That's kinda sad man." I then realized that she probably walks this regularly and felt slightly embarrassed.

~~~
  Central Park is way more fun than I was expecting. I pictured just grass and trees- which wouldn't be bad, just a bit boring- but instead there is much more to it! Beautiful water features, multiple types of flora and fauna, and there actually isn't that many other people around.
