Chapter 17

The next day Ash left and didn't come back until early morning. Sakura asked what she had been doing and she responded.

"I was at a brothel."

After that Sakura didn't pester and left it at that. The next day Ash was talking on the phone with someone, Sakura tried to eavesdrop but only discovered that she was talking to a man. When the conversation ended, Ash set the phone down and spun around to face Sakura.

"Tonight another name will be crossed off!"

Sakura looked at her, no emotion showing. Ash, confused, looked at her, scrutinizing her face.

"What?"

"Who was that on the phone?"

"A friend."

"What friend, what's his name?"

"None of your beeswax."

Sakura got a glint in her eye.

"Is he your Booyyffrrriieenddd?"

Ash blushed, and Sakura took that as a yes and was about to celebrate and pester her for information on who her secret lover was when.

"Hahahaha."

Sakura turned to see Ash doubled over laughing.

"Hahaha."

"What's so funny?"

"Haha, man if Roy heard that he would be shocked."

Sakura blinked once, twice. What about Roy?

"What-"

"Haha, well him and I have been questioned before on our relationship. All our friends and colleagues assumed that we were a couple so it's kind of funny when You think that he is."

Sakura was stunned. Really? Well she could see it, they had good chemistry. Hmm. What a tricky thing.

"That's not-"

'Ring'

Ash quickly stopped what she was doing to pick up the phone. Sakura soon found out that it was Roy again and she left the room to go read. Ash annoyed her sometimes. Always a mystery.

That night at around ten the door bell rang and Ash opened it to be met with Roy standing outside. He didn't look happy, but still stepped inside and greeted Sakura then sat at the table. Ash smirked and walked over and began making tea.

"What's wrong Roy?"

Roy seemed to anger even more by her question and he quickly turned to her glaring.

"You Know What You Did!"

"What did I do?"

Roy glared harder, and Sakura was quite sure that if looks could kill, Ash would be six feet under by now. Then Roy huffed and sat back down in the chair and crossed his arms.

"What did she do Roy?"

"Your, Friend here, decided that I was going to play a role in your little assassination job tonight, and asked me to serve as bait for Miss Bethany, the famous prostitute."

Ash nodded and sauntered over tea in her hands and she set them around the table and sat down.

"That's right. Us women aren't allowed in the brothel she works at so I asked Roy here to lead her to a room where they will supposedly 'Have Fun' when we jump out from the shadows and kill her."

Roy Huffed, and Sakura shook her head in sympathy. She felt bad for her poor friends who were being roped into her little shenanigans. It was a good plan though. Sakura was going to have to thank him for helping her.
