*Happy 4th of July*

Sakura always celebrated 4th of July with her mom. The two of them would stand out on their apartment balcony and watch the fireworks light up the sky with many different colors. They would also eat cake and drink soda, but when Sakura was little she was genuinely terrified of fireworks. She had overcame the fear until she was eleven and the war happened, and the sound that could once be identified as fire works was replaced by bombs. Well that too was overcome and she would gladly celebrate the 4th outside with friends instead of inside her house curled into a tight ball in a corner.

This year she wouldn't spend it with her mom due to her being around five thousand miles away. Well whatever she would gladly spend it with Ash and her new found friends.

Ash had planned on inviting all of her friends to watch the fireworks on the roof after a barbecue. Roy, who Ash still mildly dislikes, offered to bring a grill and Sakura gladly complied while Ash grumbled about him finally deciding to help them. Then all of the others offered to bring various snacks and foods to grill. So they all got together that night and hung out. Everyone separated here and there to chat, Sakura sat with Violet and Casey as they chatted about work and shenanegins. Roy, Zaac, and Kuroo got together and gouged their faces and chatted. The Bertz  were in charge of the food and everyone appreciated it. Soon after Ash's boss and several Joe also came to join them and soon ended up helping the Bertz with food. The Bertz children ran around caring sparklers. Ash joined in with the sparklers and began to chase them around as the yelled 'Run From The Monster!'.

Then when the sun finally set they all settled down to watch the fireworks that rang out above them. It felt nice Sakura thought, as she stood next Ash as they both stared with sparkles in one another's eyes. Ash's eyes seemed alive as she stared almost captivated by the colors that they produced. Sakura smiled and noticed Roy also staring at Ash, he too smiled and turned away to continue watching the sky. Soon after someone grabbed the radio and they all listened to the Star Spangled Banner, and I'm Glad to be an American. Sakura made sure to be by Ash when they listened along, and she was glad that she did. Ash quietly sang along. Sakura gladly listened and sighed in contentment, then reminded herself to call her mom, maybe she should give her a visit. She turned to Ash once more and she watched her smile, then sing.

"God Bless the U.S.A!"
