*Sia's POV*
I don't want to mention how school went. Project. Task. Test. Repeat. Boring boring boring.
"What are you up to this weekend?" Bee asked.
"I have a plan, I'm going to visit someone" I smiled.
"What about Kyle? Have you guys reconciled?" Right. I almost forgot about that. "You haven't?" She enlarged her eyes. "That mother fuckin' bastard"
I laughed. "Why are you so mad?"
"He made you drink, cry, and repeat" I didn't say anything. To think about it, it's true.
"I'll talk to him later" I smiled. Then my phone rang. "Hi"
"Who's it?" Bee whispered, I only smirked.
"Yeah, Darren. Sorry, I didn't call you after that" I remembered what Nate said 'He's safe'. I can meet him here in Eucalyptus. "Yeah, I have time later. Can I choose the place?" I looked at Bee, who's looking at me with her puppy eyes. "See you later" I smiled at Bee.
"Who's it?" Bee asked as soon as I ended the call.
"Darren"
"Duh!" She rolled her eyes. "I heard about it. But Darren who?"
"I met him in Tribeca, Darren Montgomery," I said.
"He looks delicious," Bee said.
"How'd you know his face?"
"Baby, have you ever heard about Instagram?" She shook her phone.
"Such a stalker" I grinned.
***************
It's Friday afternoon, and I've been so busy with school green projects like I have to stay late all night. It's tiring.
"Hey, Jess" I changed my uniform, so he can't know that I'm a high schooler.
"Hi, Darren" I got up and shook his hand. "This place is pretty, right?" I looked at him, I want to know his reaction. We're eating in the Gallery Cafe, it is indeed pretty, it looks like a garden cafe. I heard that Gallery Cafe has a different concept, depends on the city.
"Yes, it's pretty," He said as he opened the menu. What? Why's he not bragging about his mom's ownership. "I want espresso, what about you?"
"No caffeine, please. What's your best choice?" Then he called the waiter. I didn't listen to him talking to the waiter.
"What brings you here?" I asked as soon as the beverages came.
"Since I'm in college, I have an assignment to do"
"What major?"
"Cuisine," He said shortly. "But, recently I want to learn to make pastries"
"That's cool," I said shortly.
"What about you, Jess? High school? College?"
"It's complicated," I said, looking at him.
He just nodded. "What about the florist, you're still working?"
I smiled. "No, it was only a summer job" I kind of like him, he didn't brag about his parents, and he doesn't know me. Maybe, he just didn't give a damn about business thingy.
"Wow, hard-working. I like that" He smiled. "Girls nowadays just buy Gucci, drive Lamborghini, and drink Martini" Oops, now I feel guilty. I only laughed nervously.
"It's not like that" I gulped my mocktails.
"You lived here?" I nodded. "Then, why did you work in New York?"
