*Kyle's POV*
Back to reality when we're just studying and doing some tasks, listening to the teachers. This week is our town's birthday, and there'll be a gown party at the city hall.
I can't deny the guilt in my heart for lying to Sia, actually, Miranda didn't do anything. It was all my doing, I just used Miranda. And our last night's deep talk really push me to do things for her.
1 and half months ago
"Sir, you got a letter," Jasper said. "Is it a love letter? It was sent anonymously. You should tell her not to send any letter since you're both neighbors which only have meters away"
"Shut up, Jasper. Can't blame a girl for trying" I walked cheerily to my room, can't wait to read the letter. I closed my door and sit on the couch.
Dear Kyle,
Such a shame that I might not be the one that you expected. I just want to say, stay away from Sia, or I'll kill her, maybe in the sake of love.
P.S. You can call me a friend
P.P.S I do what I say
That shocked me, really shocked me. Maybe it's related to the terror that Sia told me before, the texts. For the first time in my life, I'm scared of losing a girl, losing someone that means so much to me right now. Losing a person, who introduced me to a new world. And I never knew that I could be a threat to her.
So I texted Miranda. "R u free?"
I met Miranda at a cafe near the school, and we made an agreement. I told her that I can help her to grab their attention, and we made a deal. Whatever happens, she should close her mouth, or she'll pay the price. After we made a deal, I went home and sat on the living room.
"Jasper, can you help me?" I asked.
"Of course, Sir. Anything for my boss" He smiled.
"So, do you know anything about some security thingy?" He raised his eyebrow.
"I've been working to your family for half of my life, of course, I know. Your father has an investment to a private security company, not a small one but a big one, which works for the country"
"So, dad knows something, huh?"
"Of course he knows a lot, he's a VIP, after all," Jasper said and then leave me.
On Thursday morning, the drama began. I never wanted to be this way, but if this the only thing that I can do to help her, I'll do anything, just to save her.
When she came to my room, I tried my best to ignore her, to just not express how I missed her being around, missed our late night drive, missed our deep talks. I just missed her smile.
When she told me that she'll be gone, and how she likes me. I feel so weak and hopeless like I can't do anything better to her, but this is the best that I can do for now or the only things that I thought can help her. I'm sorry, Sia. Maybe the last thing that I can do is just to give her a hug, I hugged her tighter than I should, longer than I should, and sadder than it should. I can't just give up on her. So on a Sunday morning, I called my dad.
"Do you think the private security company that you invested in can help someone?"
"Depends.." My father said.
"It's an important person," I said.
"Who?"
"Can you just do it for me?"
"Of course, I should know her name" I can feel that he rolled his eyes.
"Hmph, fine. It's Sia. Athanasia"
