Joe lay awake in bed, staring at the ceiling, a few moments before his alarm was due to fill the room with a screeching noise. It was his third day of jive rehearsal, and his mind was racing with everything he had learnt in the previous days. Slowly, he unravelled himself from his duvet to dangle his legs off the side of the bed, wondering how he would be able to survive a whole day of dancing, if he was already struggling to motivate himself to brew a coffee. Determined to make his and Dianne's day a productive one, he made his way to the bathroom, hoping that having a shower would freshen him up.

Joe poked his head round the studio door, to see a certain redhead sat on the floor, legs stretched out, searching through her bag. Taking out his vlog camera, he strolled into the room. "Right, made it into the studio" he said, starting his vlog for the day. "Good morning. Mornin' Dianne" he continued whilst turning his camera to face her. "How is your morning going?".
After expressing her sadness of her plain bread without almond butter, she fished out some bits from her bag, holding them in the palm of her hand. "If you do wanna nut, I've got them, floating around. Cashews and almonds!" Joe laughed at his partner. "But I don't have my phone charger, which is a dilemma because I'm on 20% already" she said, checking her phone. "Oh, 19% now". After this realisation, they both left the studio, coming back an hour later, more prepared with the essentials they needed.
//
"Ok Joe, let's take a break." Dianne instructed, noticing that her partner was looking a little jaded. "I think you need to have something to eat as well, we're not even half way through yet". This earned her a stunned look from Joe.
"You are kidding me, right?" Joe replied, still astonished at the words that came out of his partner's mouth. "I'm knackered Dianne, how many more hours are you planning on keeping me in this torture" his words came out more serious than he had intended. Dianne, knowing Joe meant it as a jest, went on to tease him.
"Joe, that is no way to speak to your dance teacher." Dianne spoke, expressing no emotion on her face. She saw the panic grow in Joe's eyes. "We are going to continue until I say so, I call the shots here, not you." After this, Joe looked considerably more worried, and slightly scared. She couldn't keep her unnerving demeanour any longer and let a smile creep onto her face.
"You're so annoying!" Joe exclaimed, after realising what she had done. " I'm going to get get you back for that, just you wait. Never prank a prankster Dianne. Never." She laughed at his comment. 'You have no idea what you're in for' he thought to himself, a few ideas of revenge already popping into his head.

Their rehearsal had finally come to an end, and at 10 o'clock, neither of them had eaten dinner. They were reminded of this by a rumble, disturbing the silence of them changing their shoes. "I need to eat." Dianne stated.
"Well no shit Sherlock, it sounds like a volcano in there!" He responded, outwardly laughing at his partner's bluntness, something that he hadn't quite gotten used to yet. "Do you want to come back to mine? Just to order a takeaway mind, I have no energy left to cook anything."
"If you're sure?" Dianne was met with a nodding head. "That would be great, thank you."
"And then, maybe we could give that bag of yours a clear out, I don't know about you but I certainly wouldn't want crushed nuts at the bottom of my bag." He quipped with a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"I'm too tired to disagree with you, so of course. You can clear my bag out if you want to" she replied with a cheeky glint in her eye.

It was almost midnight by the time Dianne left his flat; after eating, they had gotten so invested in conversation that time disappeared. The questions progressed from 'would you rather your only mode of transportation be a donkey or a giraffe?' to 'what is your deepest fear?'. Although the pair had only know each other for a matter of weeks, it already felt so natural being around each other and they just gelled. Whilst getting ready for bed, Joe thought about how lucky he was to find such a good friend in Dianne, who would soon, probably, become one of his best friends.
The feeling was very much mutual. Dianne noticed within a couple of days of meeting how similar their sense of humour was. She trusted him, although she felt as if she didn't know the real Joseph Sugg yet. But she was prepared to wait and let their friendship develop naturally, and not force anything upon him, certain he would do the same for her. It would be an understatement to say that she was excited about the weeks to come. Going to sleep that night, she couldn't help but smile.
