'I can't do this anymore' were the words that were continually whizzing around his head. He stood there, in the middle of the studio, trying to figure out what she meant. He knew that she couldn't quit Strictly, she could never do that.
Tears began to gather in his eyes, realising what she meant by 'this'. It was them. All those awkward moments, sleepless nights and tears for nothing.
He needed to get out of the studio, he didn't want to keep imagining her storming out that door. Her words had stung him. The fact that she thought he didn't respect her. That is what made him clench his fists. Did she really think he was that shallow, that he didn't respect her for her job? He couldn't bare thinking about it for a moment longer. Ordering an Uber, he rushed out, like she had done a few moments ago. He was so confused. He was angry, fuming, but he also was heartbroken. He didn't know whether to shout or cry.
Before he knew it, he was back home, and he was thankful that he was alone. He slammed every door that he walked through, before throwing himself on the bed. His anger was still there, but it was wearing off. He felt emptiness inside. His covers smelt of her. Some of her clothes were still scattered on the floor. He thought about the time they had confessed their love to one another. It had only been a few weeks, but it felt like lifetime. He couldn't imagine his life without this woman. The woman who completed him. Sinking lower and lower under his duvet, he didn't realise he had been crying until he saw the patches on his pillow. He tried to sleep, but failed. There was only one person occupying his mind.

Light was flooding into her room, but all she felt was darkness. She hadn't slept, at all. She had barely stopped the tears from falling, her face now blotchy and tear stained, with remnants of mascara under her eyes. She had no energy, no energy to get up, to speak, to see him, even no energy to dance. She felt so broken, but her emotions were confusing her. Her anger hasn't subsided, but neither had her sadness.
Knowing that she had no choice, she reluctantly removed herself from under the duvet. As she was sipping her coffee, she realised that she had to film their VT today. She had to put on a fake smile for the cameras, and for everyone else around her. Most of all, she didn't want Joe to know how she was feeling. She knew as soon as he asked her if she was okay, she would break.
She didn't even want to look at herself in the mirror. She hadn't taken any of her makeup off and her hair was still stuck in a bun on the top of her head. Making herself look as presentable as possible, she hurried downstairs, quickly getting into her Uber, whilst she tried to prepare herself for the day to come.

"Aw, there's donkeys!" He exclaimed, trying to come across more positively and excited than he was feeling on the inside. Him and Dianne had kept at least a metre distance between each other since they had met that morning. They couldn't look each other in the eyes, wanting nothing more than to be at home, tucked up in bed, hidden away from the rest of the world.
"Oh, they stink." She coughed, looking over at him, whilst he was vlogging.
"Nah, that's just me." He joked, trying to lighten their moods a little. She stifled a laugh at this, something that surprised him.
"What's the difference between a donkey and a horse?" She asked, deadly serious. Although he was still angry with her, he couldn't help but laugh a little at her ridiculous question.
"How can you not tell the difference?" He said, still chuckling.
"No, but truly, they look the same."
"No, they don't! That's like half the size of a horse."
"Or is a donkey half pig?"
"You never cease to amaze me." He couldn't believe the questions this woman had lined up in her brain, it was one of the reasons he loved her. He turned off his camera, and waited for her to catch up. They both looked up at the same time, unintentionally, meeting each other eyes for the first time in side their argument.
