Steve stared at the ceiling of his room with a bored expression on his face. He lay on his bed with a pout on his lips. The soft colored covers on his bed were all over the place from the young males thrashing. His pillow was on the floor due to him throwing it in his impatient frustrations. Steve's arms were above his head, bent at an odd angle as they rested against the wall.

The now fifteen year old boy huffed out a large sigh as he heaved up his body into a sitting position. His softly tanned cheeks were puffed out in frustration. Steve's brow scrunched up while he glared at his poor bedroom wall. The teen was far too impatient even though he's been waiting for them to come back for the last three years. The last few hours of waiting was killing the teens nerves.

With a frustrated cry Steve skittered to the edge of his bed. With his feet on the wooden floor he grabbed his gray shoes. Slipping them on haphazardly he quickly made his way out of his bedroom and out the front door. As he left the front door he called a goodbye to Lily, he could hear her soft reply from the kitchen as the door closed behind him.

With his hands in his pockets he swung his way around the small village. His eyes scanning over the houses he's seen all his life. The wood and stone was giving a soft glisten from the latest rain. The path under Steve's feet gave a soft squelching sound as he walked over it. Steve quietly slipped passed the well and signal bell that was placed in the middle of town.

While Steve sauntered his way towards the woods after walking through town he heard a few horses just behind him. His heart leaped and he turned around just to see the local farmer leading his horses through the streets. Steve's form sagged as he half heartedly glared at the black haired man and his brown horses. Turning around he slipped into the forest with a quiet huff.

"Dammit all....." He grumbled.

As he made his way through the forest he kicked and snapped twigs that were in his path. His hands dug deeply into his pockets and his head sunk deep into his shoulders. The teens face scrunched up again and his pout back also. As he walked he eyes a large gray rock that was bathing in the light of the sun. He slowed his steps while he walked next to the large rock. Steve looked over his shoulder back towards his village and thought he was far enough he could hear them if they showed up.

Steve went over to the rock and laid down on it. His back pressed into the rock and the heat made his bruises burn, but he didn't care. His purple eyes stared up at the cloudless sky and thought about what he would say when they got back. As he thought over this his eyes slowly drifted shut and his mind slipped.

Wither and Brian broke through the tree line and into their village with smiles on their faces. Slowly their horses came to gentle trots as they rode through town towards Lily's home. To Brian joy his mother was standing outside the house smiling at them. Her eyes were misting while they came to a stop in front of the house. Brian was the first to drop off of his horse and speed walk over to his mother.

She opened her arms and hugged her son with a teary smile. Brian hugged her tightly his head lowering and pressed into the side of his mother's head. The eighteen year old was far taller than his mother now. His mother just made it to his collarbone just like Steve had when they left three years ago.

They pulled back and smiled sweetly at one another. Wither slipped towards them from the side a gentle smile on his face as well. Lily smiled at the black haired male, her eyes squinting sofly. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Brian open his mouth to speak but she spoke before he could.

"He's in the forest, Brian"

Brian nodded and gave her one more hug before he booked it towards the forest. Wither and Lily shook their heads with fond smiles as Brian ran towards the forest edge. The two adults greeted one another before they took their conversation inside. As they walked into the house Wither gave a dismissive whistle to the horses.
