The day after the investigation, as we're driving back home, Zak randomly texts me from the front seat.

Hey, I just thought of something. We never talked about a date for the wedding.

I blink down at my phone, then up at Zak, who's talking with Billy up front about something. I look back down at my phone, then text back, Well, it hasn't really crossed my mind. What dates seem appropriate to you?

I see Zak glance down at his phone, then see his fingers flying over it.

Well, obviously I'd want it to be soon. Maybe sometime in October or November?

I smile, then say back, Sounds good. So what date?

Hold on. I need to check my calendar, Zak sends back.

Alex twists around in his seat to peer down at my phone. "What are you two talking about? You just have these little secretive smiles, and it's creepy," he says, a smile on his own face.

I laugh and say,"It's a secret. Hence, the secretive smiles." Alex rolls his eyes, but turns back around in his seat.

October 13 is free. We don't have an episode planned for that day, Zak texts.

Alright, I text back. Then, a thought strikes me, and my fingers fly before my brain can fully compute the thought.

What about September 10th?, I send.

I see Zak pause, then see his fingers type, slowly this time.

That date has a lot of bad things connected to it, Saira. Are you sure?

I take a breath, then text back. If it's filled with nothing but bad stuff, then why not have one good thing happen? An event this big could even out all the bad things, with all the positive energy. It could help heal some wounds. Maybe not make them disappear, but heal them.

I see Zak mull it over, then see his text pop up on my screen.

Alright then. A Monday wedding. We could do that. I'll have to send out some texts and emails, though. Can't believe it's been almost a year since we met.

I smile down at my phone, then glance up to see Zak's eyes on me. He smiles back, then turns back around in his seat. I can sense Aaron's frustration that he doesn't know what's happening, but I don't tell him just yet about Zak and my's conversation.

As soon as I turn off my phone, I feel another shard of glass reassemble in my chest. I look around for Chelsy, the last shard of blue glass I needed, but her spirit doesn't appear. Only four more shards of glass to go, I think to myself.

Turning on my phone again with a sudden thought, I text Zak one more thing before turning my attention elsewhere.

    It's a date, then.
