Alex's POV

Saira and Zak walk into Jae's room, where the three of us are reviewing film.

We all look up at Zak, who looks amazingly well, despite messy hair and the crooked glasses. He smiles, and we all relax. Apparently with Saira along, Zak heals from demonic attacks quicker.

Saira looks excited as well, though I can tell that it's for a completely different reason than Zak getting cleansed.

She smiles widely, and says,"Hey, guys. Can ya'll help with something for me?" I smile as her voice slips into its country accent, which she earned from growing up in Missouri.  It's cute whenever she does it. Sometimes on purpose, just to annoy Zak.

Zak doesn't look annoyed now, though. Actually, he looks almost as excited as Saira.

Jae and Mark put their laptops aside, clearly interested. I lean forward, keeping my eyes on  Saira. "Can ya'll stay here, with me, as the pregnancy test results come up?" she asks. I reel back, not expecting that in the slightest. Mark laughs, and Jae grins like a madman.

Zak laughs as I almost fall off the bed. I stick my tongue out at him as I right myself, though my eyes are on Saira. "Do you truly have to ask that, Sare? Of course we'll be by your side when this happens. We're practically family, girl. Families are always there for one another," I say.

Tears prick Saira's eyes, and she walks over and hugs me. "You have no fucking clue how much I appreciate you saying that, Alex," she says, pulling away and wiping her eyes. "Oh no. I didn't set off the emotional side of pregnancy, did I?" I ask. Everyone laughs, including Saira, who shoves my shoulder playfully.

She pulls out what looks like a pink stick thing from her back pocket. I stare, transfixed, as she pulls her phone out from her other pocket, checking the time. She frowns down at the stick, then looks up at us and smiles.

Mark and Jae have their phones out, and are filming. I dig in my pocket for mine, and film Saira as she turns over the test, showing the face of the device. She turns it towards us with the biggest smile I have ever seen. On the tiny screen is a small plus sign, with the guide next to it saying that a plus means positive.

It takes a small second for it to sink in. When it does, though, all of us laugh and scream in delight, even me and Zak. Hell, especially me and Zak.

I'm jumping around, my phone still in my hand. I turn it to face me, and say,"To all of you watching this and not getting what just happened: Saira just revealed that she's pregnant. You heard me right. Pregnant. We're going to have a new little ghost adventurer before too long!"

Saira laughs, and is enveloped in Zak's arms. I turn my camera to face them, and Zak has tears in his eyes. He kisses the top of Saira's head, tears spilling down both of their faces.

I touch my face, and my fingers come away wet. I look over at Mark and Jae, and see their cheeks glistening with happy tears as well.

Then, Saira unfolds herself from Zak's embrace. She smiles at us, silver droplets streaming down her face. She opens her arms, and all of us rush in to hug her.

Happiness is overflowing from all of us in huge waves. I've never felt so happy. And it's not even my kid. Zak wraps his arms around Saira again after the group hug is done, murmuring words too quietly for me to hear.

I turn to look at my phone, and end the video. I post it to my social media apps, all of them. I even send it to Simon Adams, my long-time friend and a former member of the Paranormeon Crew. He and Zak got into a riff a few years back, and Simon quit. He has a family as well, and I know he'll be overjoyed to know that Zak is going to have a kid as well.

Simon replies immediately, Facetiming me. I accept the call, and turn it towards Zak and Saira.

"Congratulations, Zak. You have no clue how happy I am for you," Simon says, his blue eyes shining. Zak turns towards me, looking into my phone. Saira turns as well, and smiles as Simon greets her.

"Good job wrangling Zak in, Saira. Laura and the girls applaud you, and say congratulations on the news. Laura is really excited, too. She hopes to meet you one day," Simon says. I can hear the smile in his voice, and I feel sorrow at not keeping in touch with him as often as I should have.

"Thanks, Simon. It's good to see you again, dude," Zak says. "Yeah, you too, man. Look, I gotta go, but seriously: congratulations. I look forward to your guys' wedding. I hope I get an invitation as well," he replies, laughter in his words.

"You most definitely will, Simon," Saira says. Simon laughs and logs off, leaving my screen blank. I smile at the two lovebirds, who smile back.

Everything starts winding down. I send the video to Zak and Saira so that way they can post on their social medias too. Then, I fall backwards onto the bed, groaning loudly.

Saira laughs and lays on top of me. I groan, and Zak flops down next to us, making the bed shake. We all laugh, laying on each other. I see Mark take a picture, and make a goofy face. He cracks up, and I see him adding it to his Twitter page.

Finally, though, we all go our separate ways. I head off to my room down the hall, Mark and Jae stay in their room, and Saira and Zak go into theirs. All is peaceful, for now.

Though that peace will most likely be interrupted by ghosts very soon.
