Scrooge threw the door of the mansion open with great force as his eyebrows furrowed and he clenched his cane as if it were life or death, which, in this case, it was.
"Mr McDuck please! You have to reconsider!" Fenton pleaded, trying desperately to change a mind that he knew couldn't be changed. Once Scrooge chooses which path he wants to take, he never turns back.
"I've told you before and I'll tell you again. I am not going to sit here and spend another ten years waitin'! I'm going to find Della and bring her home myself!" Scrooge claimed as he continued heading for the stairs.
Before Scrooge could step foot on the steps four crazy kids came rushing up towards him, putting him in the middle of a circle of questions. The children all spoke at once and there was no way of telling what they were saying. No way......except one. "Enough!" Scrooge yelled, slamming his cane to the ground which immediately made the kids screw their mouths shut. The kids' eyes grew wide as their great uncles voice threw them off the edge. They did not expect that.
"What in the blazes are you kids goin' on about?" He asked. The triplets and Webby all shared concerned looks before Dewey stepped forward. "Uncle Scrooge we want to go with you." He spoke with a seriousness in his voice, one that was rarely seen within Dewey. "What?" Scrooge questioned, raising an eyebrow at his great nephew in blue.
Dewey suddenly felt a pull to his arm as the strange being pulled him back. "Dewey what are you doing?!" Huey whispered with worry tinged only slightly within his voice. "What do you mean?" Dewey asked, tilting his in question. "Uncle Scrooge doesn't know we were listening in on him!" Huey whispered.
Dewey's face drew a blank. "Ohhhh right. W-Whoops." Dewey chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck slightly and drawing his attention to the floor below him.
Huey gave a sigh as he stepped forward and looked up at his confused uncle. He took a breathe to speak, however was cut off by the all-knowing Scrooge. "If it's about you kids spyin' on me whilst I was in the lab, I already knew." He spoke as his eyelids dropped halfway.
The triplets' mouths dropped open as they slumped their shoulders. How in the world did Scrooge hear them? Sure, they were a bit louder than necessary but aren't old people supposed to have bad hearing?
"Wha-.........how?" Louie questioned, throwing his hands back in his pockets and standing straight, well, standing Louie straight.
"You kids have a lot to learn on spyin' on ducks. You're not a spy if you're not quiet." Scrooge spoke, walking past them and up the first lot of stairs.
The triplets all shared shocked looks as Dewey threw one hand to his hip and the other into Huey's chest. "Told you you were too loud." He spoke, folding his arms across his chest, closing his eyes and facing away.
"Me?! It was Louie who kept complaining!" Huey argued as his finger threw towards Louie's direction.
Louie freed his hands from his pockets throwing them in the air. "Oh come on! It was Dewey who started it!" He complained.
'They're at it again.' Webby thought to herself as she gave a sigh and stood in between the three arguing and quite annoying brothers. "Guys! Stop fighting! That's not what we came here to do! We're here to ask if we can go on the mission!" She said folding her arms over chest and glaring into each of the triplets' eyes.
"Fine." Louie grumbled, locking his hands back in his pockets. He keeps his hands in there so much it's like a prison, although what's the difference? The smell of his jumper makes everyone prefer prison.
"Whatever." Dewey responded, refolding his arms and looking away from his annoying brothers.
"You're right." Huey spoke, giving a sigh as he adjusted his collar. "As the JWG states, fighting gets you nowhere." He stated holding his collar in achievement.
