"K-Kids!"
Della screamed for her kids before the green alien behind her covered her mouth once again with the rope.
Della mumbled within the ropes as she fought against them, trying to break herself free.
"D-Della.........DELLA!!" Donald yelled as his eyebrows dropped and he grit his beak, trying to lunge himself at the laptop screen, however, was held back by his nephews and Uncle Scrooge.
After Donalds small outburst Scrooge took a second to calm his nephew before returning his gaze to the laptop screen. Staring the green alien dead in the eye. "Don't ye dare harm a feather on mi nieces head." He spoke in almost a whisper which sent a shiver in everyone's spines as he began to raise his voice. "Let, the lass, go.........NOW!!!" Scrooge ordered, slamming his cane to the ground and pushing his teeth so tightly together that they could shatter.
The green alien let out a devilish laugh. "No." He spoke simply as his eyebrows, once again, dropped and the ends of his mouth slowly marched upwards.
The static screen grew worse by the minute. "M-Mum......" Louie stuttered shakily, taking a step forward as tears welled in his eyes. He couldn't take the pain of seeing his mother like this. He had seen Uncle Donald have so many accidents with the house boat, some accidents even included blood......lots and lots of blood. Louie learnt to live with the feeling of knowing Uncle Donald would be alright. Uncle Donald's always alright. He always fights on.........How is this any different? They're twins they can't differ that much............can they?
Della let out a shaky whimper that broke everyone's hearts, especially Scrooge and Donald's. Out of all the adventures they had been on together they had never seen Della this scared before.........
"Who are you and what do you want with our mum?!" Dewey demanded, stomping forward and gritting his teeth as his eyes narrowed upon the green figure behind his mum.
"Lunar. Commander of planet moon and~" Lunar's little introduction was interrupted by a small correction. "Actually the moon isn't a planet." Huey stated, raising his index finger.
Della threw her tied up hands in the air and rolled her eyes as she mumbled something through the ropes that still tightly lied around her beak. It was as if she said, 'Thank you!'
"Enough!" Lunar yelled, firmly grabbing the back of Della's worn-out clothes and raising her in the air.
"My father feared planet Earth for years now! He told me stories about ducks coming to invade planet moon and it looks like he was right." Lunar paused as he stared at Della who shrugged in response. "Now it's time you fear planet moon." He smirked as his eyes never left Dellas.
"Again. Not a planet." Huey corrected as his arms folded over his chest.
Soon enough the words that Lunar spoke had become unclear as the screen flashed different shades of black and grey.
"We're breaking up!" Fenton exclaimed as he banged the laptop screen, trying desperately to keep it clear.
Scrooge put a hand on Fenton's hand and stopped him from banging the laptop as his eyes never left Lunars.
He stared straight into the camera, almost making the lens break. "Now ye better listen here Lunar and listen well cause I'm only gonna say this once. I'm rebuilding the spear of Selene and I'm goin' to save mi niece. Nothing is going to stop me from gettin' Della back. Not you. Not mi family and not. Ye planet."
The laptop screen cut out as Lunars mind was bleached with Scrooge's horrifying face that could give any duck or alien nightmares for weeks.
Everyone paused and stared at the determined old duck who, as calmly as he could, walked back to the desk of tools. "Gyro..." He spoke sternly, signalling Gyro to follow after him.
Gyro immediately ran to his boss's side. "Y-Yes Mr McDuck?" He stuttered.
Scrooge shoved the blue prints for the rocket into Gyros chest before grabbing all the tools and heading towards the elevator.
"Uncle Scrooge?" Huey asked, tilting his head at his confusing old uncle.
"Ye're goin to build the Spear of Selene or ye're goin to lose your job, do you understand Gyro?" Scrooge spoke sternly as he stopped in front of the elevator.
Gyro froze for just a second. Thinking over what he was about to do. Was this really a good idea? Sending him and his family into space and probably into death just so that they can get back one member they lost? Dying over one family member? Was it worth it?
"Do ye understand?" Scrooge exclaimed, growing more impatient by the second.
"Y-Yes Mr McDuck..." Gyro stuttered.
"Good..." Scrooge spoke sternly as the elevator doors closed, leaving everyone speechless. An entire minute passed of silence that felt like eternity as everyone got lost in their own thoughts.
Though their thoughts were all different, they were also somewhat the same. One burning question flooded each and everyone's of their minds......
......Was this really happening?
* * * * *
Weeks had passed and the McDuck family barely spoke a word to each other. All that was left in their minds was the sight of the triplets poor mother stuck on the moon with no communication. For all they knew.........she could be dead......no......no they couldn't think that way. It wouldn't be right for them to just give up. They've gotten this far and they're not giving up now. Besides.........Della would never give up on anyone.
"Mr McDuck! Mr McDuck!" Fenton bursted through the doors, holding scattered pieces of paper and puffing. His head rapidly snapped around, looking for any sign of the McDuck family.
"Fenton!" Huey yelled as he ran down the stairs with Louie, Dewey and Webby following behind. "What is it? What's wrong?" He panicked as he helped Fenton pick up the many papers he had dropped from his scattered pile in his hands.
"I-Is it mum?" Louie stuttered, as his beak quivered and his heart pumped a thousand beats per minute. He couldn't be able to take the truth the truth was that she.........was gone. He lived through 10 years of thinking she was dead and when he found out she was alive, something inside of him sparked. Something he never felt very often in his life.........hope. He couldn't just watch all that hope fly out the window if he found out she was gone.
"I~" Fenton tried to explain, however, a very irritated Scrooge bursted through the doors from the kitchen.
"What in the blazes is~" He snapped his head around frantically looking for any dangers, before his eyes fixated on the light brown feathered duck standing in the doorway. "Fenton!" He marched quickly over to Fenton, "Ye better have a good explanation for barging into mi~"
"It's the spear!" Fenton interrupted, holding up the scattered papers in his hands.
Everyone paused in shock.........the spear.........the spear of Selene? ............Della!
"It's ready!"
