Chapter 13:

611 18 38

Hey guys!!! So I've decided there's going to be two more chapters, this one and then the next one, which will be the last one for this book. ono

But fear not! There is a Debbigail fanfic approaching! And I think I know the main idea of what I wanna do with it! It may take me a while to write the first chapter because first chapters are always hard but bare with me! I always finish the stories I start!

Just to explain a couple things of what's going on in this chapter, the italics is sort of like a "flashback" to what happened with Webby on the moon. It might get a little confusing towards the end so don't be shy if you wanna ask a question!

Now obviously the writing in normal is just normal, what's happening in the present. But there is one line in the story which is in bold, it's basically just like a transition from the flashback back to the present. This line is said by Webby and she says it both in the flashback and in the present which is why it's in bold! It may sound confusing but you'll get it! Again, ask questions if need be!

Please don't hesitate to give feedback and let me know what you think, it really does help!

Thank you to @Caetlyn27 who always comments along the way, I really appreciate it! Remember guys: there is no such thing as 'too much commenting!'

Thank you so much to those who also always read this authors note, I know it's boring and you just wanna get into the story but thank you, it's much appreciated! ^w^ Anyway enough rambling! Enjoy!

"W-Webbigail? ..." Scrooge stuttered, his eyes widening.

Was it really her? No! No way! He was just seeing things!

"I-It cannae be..." Scrooge's pupils shrunk to the size of peas, his body shaking as the tears froze in his eyes.

He stared ahead in shock. A girl. A familiar little girl he thought he had lost. This girl held her bruised arm tight, with her black eye and bloody face showing clear distraught.

The girls eyes began to well with tears. She made it. She really made it. All that hard work payed off. She was home, she was finally home!

"Lass..." Scrooge shakily stood to his feet wiping his frozen tears from his eyes. "Webbigail...... i-is it really you?" His heart skipped a beat at the sound of that name. His niece's name. His family's name. The name that belonged to the girl who had somehow managed to be strong, build a wall and survive threw everything she had been through with a perilous smile plastered across her face, a smile that only few could break.

This girl wasn't just you're ordinary 10 year old girl, she was a warrior who had built a wall so strong that no one could break through. However, the moment one of her own managed to slip pass, the moment she let her guard down for that one duck, that duck that she looked up to, that duck who inspired her her entire life, he broke her into a million peace's, forcing her to wear a mask she never thought she would have to forge, a mask she never thought she would have to use, especially on the ducks she loved and the ducks in which she thought loved back.

"S-Scrooge..." Webby cried, returning his smile as the tears freely rolled down her face. She was free, she was finally fre-

"Not so fast!" Lunaris scolded, holding a gun to Webby's head. "Move and I'll shoot."

Scrooge grit his beak, he just got her back, he wasn't going to lose her again.

"Scrooge!" Webby cried once again, obvious fear lay in her voice.
