The words he said kept on replaying in Virgil's mind. Admitting it to Thomas was one of the hardest things he's done in a long time. Hell, he nearly cried! Virgil was rocking back and forth on his bed, when another thought crossed his mind, is Roman okay? He was knocked out for a long time...
Instead of letting the Nervousness fester inside himself, he decided to just check up on him. Without any further ado, he sunk out of his room.Roman was sitting on the couch in his room when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. "Oh! Virgil!"
"...hey."
"So... what are you doing here?"
Virgil was hesitant to answer. So instead of saying anything, he said nothing.
"Um... do you want to sit down?" Roman gestured next to him. Virgil complied.
"Are you... doing okay? I mean, I know you already said you were, but you were knocked out for a while."
Roman smiled at Virgil's concern.
"My head's a little sore, but it isn't like I have a concussion."
...
"And... if you're talking about non-literally... I'm kinda worried that now that Remus has shown himself to Thomas he'll cause all kinds of trouble. I mean, you know him!" Roman sighed after finishing that small rant.
They sat in silence for a little while.
"Are YOU doing okay?"
This question shocked Virgil. He didn't want to admit it, but he really wasn't. He didn't want to admit it so much, he just stayed silent.
Roman knew somthing was up, but he didn't push it. If Virgil really didn't wanna tell him what was wrong, that was fine.
"...I told him."
"Huh? Told who what?"
He looked down to the floor.
"I told Thomas I was a... 'Dark Side'" Simply repeating it to someone who already knew still send shivers up his spine.
Roman was taken aback. He... told him? Looking at Virgil, he could tell it really effected him. He looks so sad...
"Virgil..." Roman couldn't find anything to say, all he knew is that he wanted to help.
"He probably hates me."
"What? Why would he hate you?!"
"You've seen how Thomas reacts them. He hates Remus and Deceit! And now he must hate me too..."
Roman grabbed Virgil shoulders and turned him to face him.
"He doesn't hate you! No one hates you, I'm sure if it! Your past doesn't define you! Whatever you WERE doesn't change all the development you've had, and Thomas knows that!"
Virgil was stunned silent.
"Trust me. We all... care for you. No matter your past."
Virgil's eyes started to water
"You... You really mean it?"
Roman smiled
"Of course I do."
Virgil hugged him, tears streaming. He sniffled.
"Thank you" he said weakly.
"No need to thank me, I'm just telling the truth."
