Logan was reading an article on his laptop when be heard a notification from his phone. It was a text from his fellow side Patton, it read "Can you come over so we can talk?" This was an uncommon occurrence. Usually if Patton wanted to talk to Logan he'd come to his room. Even though it was a little odd, Logan complied. He stood up from his desk, making sure to push his chair in, and sunk out to Patton's room.

Logan quickly found Patton sitting on his bed hugging a pillow. "Oh!" Patton exclaimed. He set the pillow down next to him and sniffled. "I didn't expect you to come so fast..." Patton's eyes were a little puffy... had he been crying?
"You wanted to talk to me and I wasn't preoccupied with anything very important." Logan said simply. Logan walked towards Pattons bed when he was interrupted by Patton.
"Lo... are we friends?"
What? Logan didn't know much about relationships, but was that even something he had to question? All Logan could say was "I believe we are."
Patton stayed silent. He looked sad... Logan decided to sit next to him on his bed. He still didn't say anything.
"What would make you think we aren't friends, Patton?" Logan asked. He let his emotion show in his voice, unlike when he usually talked.
Patton looked to face him. "It's just... You never seem to enjoy spending time with any of the sides, including me..." he explained.
Well that was an undeniable falsehood. Logan always enjoyed spending time with Patton.
"I..." Logan tried to find  the words to describe what he felt. 'Feelings. My only weakness.' he thought.
He looked Patton in the eyes. "I always enjoy the time when I'm with you... More than anything else I do..."
"Do you... really mean that?" Patton asked.
"Yes." he confirmed.
Patton smiled. Something about that smile made Logan's heart figuratively skip a beat. Patton pulled him into a tight hug.
Logan could feel his face warmthen. What was happening? All he knew was that he didn't want this hug to end. But of course, it had to.
"Thanks Lo. That really means so much to me."

~Later~

Logan couldn't stop thinking about his hug with Patton earlier... Why did his face go all warm? What was that feeling? He decided to do some research.
"Hmm. None of these seem to mach my symptoms... Oh! This one works...
Love? No, I don't do love. That can't be it. I should get a second opinion... *sigh* Well, there is one love expert I know." And so Logan went to Roman with his problem.

Logan rose up in Roman's room. He saw him sparring with his samurai sword. "Roman." he said simply to get his attention. Roman jumped. "WHO GOES THE- oh it's just you."
"I have something I'd like to discuss with you." Logan said simply.
"I assumed. Y'know, you should REALLY warn a guy before you come barging in his room."
Logan sighed. "I apologize. Now, could I ask you what I came in here for?"
Roman realized that he got off topic. "Oh, yeah, what's up?"
Logan became a little nervous. What would Roman think of him if he DID end up having feelings for someone?
"Spit it out, teach." Roman pushed.
"Spit what out?" Roman gave him a look. "Oh, right, metaphors."
"Um... I have a dilemma..." Logan put off saying it as much as he could.
"Again, I assumed that. What do you need ME for?!" Roman asked, frusturated.
Logan took a breath. "I need your help discerning if I have... 'feelings' for someone."
Roman looked at Logan wide-eyed. "You think you have feelings for someone?! Who is it?!"
Logan sighed. "If you must know... it's Patton."
Roman squealed. "I'm sorry, it's just I ship you two so much!"
"...Ship?" Logan repeated, confused.
"Just look it up later." Roman said quickly
"Anyway, what makes you think that?" Roman questioned.
"Well, I enjoy the time I spend with him more than the time I'm with anyone else, I blushed when he hugged me, and when he smiles at me a feel warmth in my chest." Logan listed his symptoms as if he had some kind of illness.
"Yup! You like him!" Roman assured.
"Well, I was already aware of that, but do I have feelings for him?" Logan asked, unaware of what 'like' meant in this context.
Roman sighed, annoyed "YES".
"Thank you. I will now go to Patton with this information." Logan turned to walk away when Roman grabed his arm.
"Waitwaitwaitwaitwait- You aren't just gonna say 'I have feelings for you' and leave, are you?!"
"Is that not the right course of action here?"
Roman groaned. "Have I taught you nothing?! You need to woo him!"
"Oh no. I know where this is going. You're going to list off grand unrealistic gestures I couldn't actually to do for 5 minutes." Logan predicted.
"How'd you guess that?" Roman asked, actually kinda proud.
"You're a bit predictable at times, Roman." Logan stated.
"Wow, harsh." Roman said, offended. He summoned a Blue Rose and gave it to Logan "Do what you will, but I suggest you give him this. Now, don't let me stop you from confessing to the man you love!" And with that, Logan sunk out of Roman's room.

Logan stared at the rose before he entered Patton's room once again. "Hey Lo." Patton said as he walked in. Logan hid the rose behind his back before Patton could see it. Logan could feel the anxiety again, but far worse.
"What's up?" Patton asked casually as he stood to meet him.
"Well... Um... I have something I'd like to tell you..." Logan said. Patton looked at him quizzically.
Logan pulled out the rose and cleared his throat. "Patton... you are very special to me. You've always seemed to stick out to me. It was until recently I didn't understand why, but now I know..." He took a step closer to him. "I love you."

Patton instantly clamped his mouth with his hands. He couldn't believe what he'd been told. Logan loves him! Really loves him! He felt like he could fly. "I love you too!"

This was unreal. Logan didn't anticipate the possibility that Patton felt the same way. He was is shock.
Realizing the rose was still in his hands, he handed it to Patton "Oh- uh- this is for you" he stumbled on his words.

Patton smiled widely "It's perfect."
