Susan continued to bash her fists against the glass wall in an attempt to get the Gods' attention. After a moment of clear confusion, Ringo caught onto her actions and decided she would try to help out. Using her claws, she scratched at the glass, hoping the unbearable noise was loud enough to be heard from inside.
Edd quickly pressed his hands over his ears, in an attempt to block out the horrid sound while looking around to see where it was even coming from. But, he couldn't see a thing. Susan, getting more frustrated with every passing second, started to walk around the perimeter of the room, pounding on the glass, searching for a weak spot.
She called, "Ringo, get on top and look for an opening of some sort up there. Even here, there needs to be some way for them to breathe." Ringo hummed in confirmation, opening her wings and looking up. She took a great leap and flapped her wings, taking her higher into the air and on top of the room. She looked around for a bit, pacing the top before she noticed a small door with a latch to open it on top. There were holes in the door, giving Ringo an idea.
She walked over to the edge again, and spoke, "Susan, there's something like a door up here!".
"Could you find a way to open it from there?" she replied.
"Yeah, hold on a moment," she said before turning back to the door. She tried grabbing the latch with her paws, but she couldn't get a well enough grip on it. So, she resorted to using her teeth, grabbing the latch, and then pulling gently. The door didn't budge, so she decided she would try something else. She knelt down, closer to the door and growled as loud as she could.
All four gods looked up at the roof where they heard her. Tom stood up as she growled again, this time saying what sounded like "We're getting you out of here." It was much harder to hear her, but he knew it was her.
"Ringo?" He spoke softly, not expecting her to hear him.
"What are you talking about?" Edd asked, standing up as well.
"The growling. That's Ringo, I know it is," Tom responded, pacing around the room, looking for the dragon. Eventually, he noticed a small darker patch on the ceiling and went under it, confused.
Ringo could see Tom looking up at her, though she wasn't sure if he actually saw her. She tilted her head, causing her silhouette to move with her and for Tom to notice she was moving. He gasped in realization, "That's definitely Ringo up there."
"What?" Edd asked, "How did she get up there?" Tom shrugged his shoulders in response but quickly realized Edd couldn't see him.
"I'm not entirely sure," he murmured. He continued to stare at the shadow of the dragon, straining to hear her growl again if she did.
Ringo looked away from the door and called out to Susan, "I found a way in Susan! Or at least I can talk to Tom from here!"
"Wait, it opened?" she asked the dragon.
"Yeah, but if I go in, I'm not sure if I can come back out," Ringo answered.
"Maybe the others would know?" Susan optioned for her.
"Okay, I'll ask Tom," she turned back to the opening in the prison cube. "Tom, do you know if Edd can fly?" she exclaimed.
Tom looked to Edd after hearing her and asked, "Can you fly at all in here, Edd?"
"What? No, the last time I tried I only made a few feet before falling down," he answered. Tom sighed before replying to Ringo.
"Ringo! He can't fly in this space!" he yelled out to her. Ringo nodded and turned away to answer Susan.
"Edd can't fly apparently so I'm not sure if I will be able to get out, Susan," she called out.
"Hm, alright then! Is there any other way? I'm trying to find a doorway or something out here in the meantime!"
"Okay, I'll jump in and try to fly and figure something out," Ringo turned back to the doorway and jumped down with her wings open, gliding down. But she never touched the ground, only hovering.
Tord popped his head up. "What if you tried to fly now that there seems to be a way out. Ringo could fly in, maybe you could fly out," he suggested, shrugging.
"Maybe it could work now," Edd responded, thoughtfully. He backed up and spread his wings, flapping them and staying a few feet above the ground. After a few seconds, he noticed that nothing was going to pull him down. He was flying!
Ringo flew by his side further proving that she wasn't forced to land. Matt seemed to perk up at the sight of Edd flying. He opened his mouth to speak, but noticed that he still couldn't do so. He had wished maybe the room opening would allow him to speak again, as it granted Edd his flight, however that didn't seem to be the case.
"Wait, so you can fly now?" Tom asked.
"Seems like it, maybe we can get out now! The way Ringo got in maybe," Edd said, now optimistic about their situation.
"But how are the rest of us going to get up there? You can fly but I find it hard to believe you can lift us with you," Tord countered.
"Susan is working on something outside here," Ringo growled to Tom. He nodded.
"Susan is trying to find another way in. If she can't find anything, then we'll have to figure out how to leave through the door up top." The others nodded. Tom seemed different, however. Not a bad different.
They smiled.
