With the newfound information on Edd's and Ringo's flight, the five of them had hope that they would be able to escape. Now that Matt knew that Susan was outside looking for a way in, he could hear her pattern of knocks against the wall, seeming to circle around the area.

Matt tried to retrace his steps on how he was led in through that doorway, to his charades to Edd, and finally sitting down and listening to Edd's pacing. He hadn't moved from his spot since then so he blindly stood up and walked towards where he last remembered the doorway being.

Maybe he couldn't open from the inside but if Susan knew where his door was, she could open it from the outside if she could hear his knocks or see him.

Edd and Tord were trying to learn more about their situation from Ringo with Tom translating for her and adding comments once in a while. "So, Susan knew a way to come here which is actually Tom's mind?" the winged god asked.

"Exactly," Ringo growled.

"Exactly," Tom repeated. "So if we're in my mind, where's that wall that person was saying about? Or him actually?"

"The wall is just outside of here since this is kind of a glass prison. Almost like one-way glass, where Susan can see us but we can't see her," the dragon answered.

"What did she say?" Tord questioned.

"Apparently, the 'wall' is outside of here. Here being a one-way glass prison box," Tom replied, turning to Tord.

"So this wall," Edd said, causing Tom to snap his attention to his other friend. "It's breaking, but how? Is it just by magic or something else at play?" Tom looked to Ringo waiting for her to respond.

Ringo took a moment thinking whether or not she should say what was out there but decided against it, "There's something out there scratching at the wall. Susan and I thought we should get help if we were going to stop it, hence why we're trying to bust you out of here."

"She says there's something out there scratching at it and that's why they want to get us out, to help them," he relayed the information to Edd.

"But what's out there that they needed our help for?"

"I guess they didn't get a good look since she didn't specify."

Outside of the box prison, Susan was trying to find anything that may hint an opening. She kept thinking maybe she's just missing it and continued to look around the box with no results. She was about to make a plan to get to the roof and tell Ringo when she saw Matt walking with his arms stretched outwards.

He walked with a certain destination in mind and eventually reached the wall where he started knocking on the glass. Susan strode over to him and watched as he paused trying to hear something before knocking again.

When he paused again, Susan knocked on the glass in front of him, a look of excitement crossed his features. Although he couldn't see her, he knew she was the only one who could've knocked.

He started reaching upwards with both hands and outlined a certain rectangular area in front of her. The shadow was puzzled after he repeated the motion a few times, confused why that motion. On the other side of the glass, Matt began grabbing on to nothing pulling it open as if there was a door there.

Finally getting at what the god was doing, Susan reflected the movement of grabbing a doorknob when he did it again, realizing there was probably a doorway she couldn't see that he couldn't open or see either. She grasped onto the air and she could feel the knob that she couldn't before.

She probably walked past this area four times finding nothing, but here she was still unable to see anything peculiar about the area beside the newfound piece of solid air. She gently twisted her wrist and pulled back just as Matt was doing his charade again.

The ginger fell forward in front of Susan, being caught by the shadow before he could fall. "Oh my, Matt are you okay?" Susan asked as she steadied him. He tried talking again but his voice was still nowhere to be found so instead, he just nodded his head with a smile on his face.

Now remembering that there was an open exit for the other gods and Ringo, she poked her head inside while holding the door open. "Ringo! I found a way out!" she called out to her companion.

The dragon perked her head up and turned towards the direction of the noise. She bounded to the doorway where she saw the silhouette of her friend. Tom picked himself off of the floor and followed after Ringo, Edd, and Tord close behind.

Ringo, who had a headstart, was able to reach her friend first and practically jumped out of there. She looked around herself to see they were on the opposite side of the breaking wall while Tom sprinted out after her.

Edd then sped out, wings folded behind his back, shortly followed by Tord. Once everyone was out and away from the door, Susan let go of the door and let it shut. It left absolutely no trace of its existence once it closed with a small thud, and it was just as invisible as the rest of the glass.

Susan had no idea how Matt so flawlessly remembered the doorway he entered since it didn't leave a trace and it was pitch black inside but she didn't question it when it got her friends out. She was suddenly tackled by a familiar black-eyed god, balancing herself so she wasn't toppled.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, Susan, for getting us out of there!" Tom said gratefull to her, finally releasing her from his grasp.

"Your welcome Tom but I couldn't have found the door without help from Matt, where is he?" she said searching around. She could see him through the glass, around and down the corner.

His gaze was locked on something in front of him and he didn't seem to notice Susan and the others walking up to him. They searched for what he saw and could make the outline of something in the distance.

Coming up on either his side of him, Susan and Ringo could already guess at what he was seeing. By the surprised gasps of the others, Susan could guess the other gods could see the monster as well.

Its details were hidden from the darkness but they could all identify what they saw was Tom's 'dark side' per se.
