C.7 Cursed Position

Before they knew it, it was already time to go school shopping in Diagon Alley. Severus was never a fan of the crowds so he just gave Elise the money for what she needed and sent her off with Draco.

"Okay, so I need to go to Knockturn Alley to Borgin and Burkes. I think it would be best if you don't come with me." Draco explains to Elise as they stood a little ways away from Knockturn Alley.

"But-" Elise tries to barter.

"Lise, it's already fishy enough with me going, but if both of us go, then it's dangerous. Okay? Go get us our books or something." Draco orders. Elise nods her head and turns away from him and he turns the other way to head to Knockturn Alley.

Elise finds herself standing in front of what was Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor frowning. It was all boarded up. She ends up wandering to the Magical Menagerie and goes inside to see all of the cats.

"What's going on?" The shop owner's voice rings through the place.

Elise looks over at the shop owner being surrounded by a bunch of people whom she knew were Death Eaters. She takes a shaky breath before calmly exiting the store and going back to the Alley. She noticed that she felt like she was being watched. Elise looks around and spots Ron Weasley glaring in her direction. She takes off in his direction and walks up to him. "Take a picture, it'll last longer," she spits at him.

"In your dreams would I ever want a picture of you." Ron scoffs.

"Then why were you staring at me so hard?" Elise questions with a sneer attitude.

Ron's face flushes as he knows he's been caught in his act, but tries to stand his ground. "I know what you're up to, Snape."

Elise snorts.

"Something funny?" Ron furthers. "You and Malfoy both."

"I'll have you know that I am here to collect my school supplies just like any other student AND so is Draco." Elise retorts then crosses her arms.

"Funny, I don't recall us students having school supplies located in Knockturn Alley."

"Why don't you weasel out of our business, Weasley?" She spat at him again.

They were now being approached by Potter and Granger.

"What's the meaning of this?" Harry asks looking between the two.

"This little Weasley is weaseling into my business that doesn't concern him." Elise makes a smug face.

"Very funny, so clever," Ron mocks. "See Harry? Why did we ever trust her?"

Elise raises an eyebrow at Harry. Had he not told these two what she is?

"I apologize, Elise. I asked Ron to keep an eye out for any fishy behavior." Harry apologizes to her. Elise couldn't believe after everything that he somehow still had feelings for her.

"Well she was in the Menagerie when a bunch of sketchy people went in there and then came out shortly after." Ron says.

"I left because there were sketchy people in there." Elise defends. She looks beyond Harry and Hermione to see a pissed off Draco headed back from Knockturn Alley. "I'm going to go-"

"Not so fast. What was Malfoy doing in Knockturn Alley?" Harry inquires.

Elise shakes her head. "I don't know, he told me he was going to use the restroom." She lies.

"Oi! What are you filthy lot doing speaking to my girlfriend?" Draco approaches them.

"Draco, not now!" Elise sighs. "Excuse me, I'd like to go get my books now." Elise excuses herself and walks to meet Draco halfway and puts her arm in his and pulls him off towards somewhere that is out of sight of the trio.
