Elise sat on her bed and was studying all the notes Draco had copied for her. She felt a pain in her heart, knowing she should be more grateful for him than what she was. With a sigh she looked up at the clock to see it was approaching 5 o'clock. That meant her private lesson time was almost here. She shuffled everything together and put it in her trunk. Walking downstairs and into the Common Room she looked over to see Draco at the window staring aimlessly into the Black Lake at the mysterious creatures it held. Elise checked the time once more, yet decided to approach Draco. She reached out a hand and gave his shoulder a small squeeze.

"Thank you for copying all of the notes down twice for me. I really appreciate that. I really appreciate you as well. I'm sorry for what I said earlier.." Her last few words lingered in the air and the silence continued. Draco didn't even look back up at her. He just merely nodded his head. Elise bent down to kiss the side of his forehead, but he pushed her away and turned to look at her with a scowl. Elise was baffled. She did not expect to receive a cold shoulder from Draco.

"Get to your lesson with Potter. Wouldn't want to be late like you always are." Draco sneered.

Elise felt her face flush of all color. "I love you.." She trailed off. He just turned away from her shaking his head. Her heart ached with pain and she felt her arm start burning. She saw the time and she was late. She hurried off to her father's classroom without another look back at Malfoy.

Draco sat there wordlessly and processed what Elise had said. He knew she felt guilty for what she said, but he could not get over what her father had said to him. It infuriated him. His heart still loved her more than anything, but his head was telling him she became a monster. Draco heard a familiar voice call out to him and looked up to see Pansy. She held out her hand and offered him something she called special. Draco hesitantly took her hand and they went off together.

Elise wandered into the Potions classroom to see Harry Potter himself waiting in there alone. She looked around for her father.

"He's not in here at the moment. I'm awaiting his arrival," Harry said to her. Elise approached him and for the first time really looked at him as not The Boy Who Lived, but as himself. A normal wizard boy. She noticed his beautiful green eyes behind his screwed up glasses. She gave him a soft smile. "I've been meaning to tell you something." He continued.

But before he could ask, Professor Snape entered the classroom. "Excuse my tardiness, I had a few business things to take care of. Elise, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to dismiss our lesson, I have specific duties from the headmaster." He then sees the pain behind her eyes and searches her mind. He realizes it might be better for her to stay here. "But you are more than welcome to stay and take notes."

Elise became baffled and glanced at Harry who just gave her an encouraging half smile. "Alright.." was muttered and she took a seat and began to ponder her brain for what in the bloody madness was going on and what Potter was going to tell her.

"Potter, I am going to be teaching you occlumency. This is essential to not allowing the Dark Lord to be inside of your head." Professor Snape states clearly. He beckons him over to a cauldron and their lesson begins. Elise truthfully zones out and sits there motionless while imagining different fantasies. She jolts out of it when Potter yells and then Snape beckons him to leave. Elise being clueless as to what just happened gets up and Snape nods to her to follow him.

She obeys and follows Harry out of the classroom. They get up to a random corridor before Harry turns and flips around, "Are you mad?! How can you stand that man!"

Elise is taken aback. "I- I mean he is my father. It's just something I do."

"It's rubbish. What he was trying to get me to do. I'm going mad." Harry runs his hands through his hair and makes his hair messy.
