C.5 Darkness

The next morning Elise wakes up in Draco's arms and she immediately realizes they were both naked. Her face starts heating up as she remembers the events of last night. She runs a hand through his hair causing his eyes to flutter open. A slow grin creeps onto his face.

"Good morning, beautiful," his deep morning voice croaks.

"Draco, thank you." Elise's face brightens with a smile and Draco feels compelled to kiss her once more.

"My pleasure, love."

Those words made Elise's chest twinge with guilt once more as she hears Harry Potter's voice say 'My pleasure' again. Her smile drops and her eyes flutter a few times.

"What's wrong, Li?" Draco sits up and looks at her concerned. She remembers making it back to the Common Room, but doesn't recall how she got here. She looks into Draco's eyes and sees through his mind, looking for her answer.

"You...." She aggressively speaks through her teeth. Gets up off the bed and throws the pillow at him hard. "You cheated on me and THEN USED OBLIVIATE ON ME?!" The room echoes with her shout. Draco becomes increasingly confused, as to how she figured that out and why she was acting like this.

"Babe, I told you. You had a nightmare." Draco explains again calmly.

"YOU LIED! YOU'RE LYING TO MY FACE RIGHT NOW!" Her arm suddenly burns with pain and she falls forward and grabs it, screaming.

"Elise?" Draco becomes mortified.

"Liars... are.... held.... unworthy...." Elise hisses out, however, it came out as Voldemort's voice. Draco's eyes widen in horror and fear. He scrambles to gather his clothes and messily dresses before running out of the room.

Elise begins choking before falling forward onto the ground. She is consumed by weak energy and lays there almost unconscious. She whispers out a spell to summon her clothes back on her. Then she begins having a serious coughing fit that causes her to lose consciousness completely.

Malfoy bursts into Snape's classroom as a Potions class was being taught to first years. "Excuse me, Mr. Malfoy, I am in the middle of a lesson." Severus snaps.

"Sorry, sir, this is important." Malfoy pants breathlessly. "About your daughter."

Snape looks around his class quickly before apologizing for the abrupt disruption and follows Malfoy. "What in the bloody hell is the meaning of this?" Their pace was quick as they headed up to the Room of Requirement.

"She.. she.. I don't know sir. She had HIS voice come out of her body. After she grabbed her arm and fell to her knees gripping her arm. HIS voice came out of her mouth.." Malfoy was holding back tears as he was frightened. They were outside of the door. Snape bursts in to find Elise laying unconscious on the floor. He gets down on the ground and starts muttering incoherently. Draco furrows his eyebrows confused and stares intently. He had no idea what was going on and he was far more frightened than he ever has been. Elise stirs and her eyes flutter open.

"What happened? Where am I?" She chokes out softly.

"Shh, you mustn't speak, my child. You just experienced something very dark." Her father tells her. She looks at him confused and then glances up to Draco. She is escorted to the hospital wing and is put into a bed. "Things are approaching worse times. I cannot disclose anything right away, but you must be cautious, Elise."

"But, Father.." She whispers weakly. "What's going on?"

"Rest, my dear. You're going to need it. Trust me on this." He grabs her left arm and gives it a squeeze to hint what is going to occur. She nods and is left alone.
