Mayas pov
I ran away and i didnt want to deal with any problems any more i got to the roof of my old building and looked over the edge with cars and traffic below.
I sended a text to everyone and it said "im done with all of this i dont want to do this but missy, congrats you win." I waited five minutes before i jumped so i wrote a letter that tells everyone that i love them and that they shouldnt forget that.
Just as i was gonna jump, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me off the ledge "Lucas leave me alone!"i say struggling tring to get my arm out of his grasp. "Tell me one reason why." "Lucas you dont understand-""Maya you dont deserve to kill yourself because of one girl who doesnt like anybody and just decided to pick on you." "I dont have a home so i live on the streets, my mom is always working and my dad abondened me."
"No one except the mathews love me for who i am."
Lucas's pov
Thats when i leaned in and kissed her. She was shocked. She pulled away and jumped. I couldnt watch as she fell and became a blur. I heard a thud and looked down. I was so glad to see that she landed on a fire escape 5 floors below. Riley bursted through the fire escape and started crying "why did she jump?!" I calmed her down when i said she is ok she only got 5 floors down and we ran down the stairs.
2 hrs later at the hospital
Rileys pov
Lucas and i were in the waiting room waiting and waiting. After a while we got notifications and missy posted the text that maya sent before she jumped and she wrote underneath, Glad she's gone. looked at lucas and started crying.
I cried on his shoulder and he said "its going to be ok" but at that point i wasnt so sure. My parents and farkle came in and they asked if she was ok but all we could say was i dont know.
Lucas 's pov
Thats when the doctor came in and said "she lives but, she has amnesia, and it might take a little less than a year to get her memory back." "Can we go see her?" I asked. "Yes but remember she doesnt remember any of you so come in one at a time." I went in first and maya watched me as i sat on her bed.
"Who are you and why are you sitting here?" She said a little scared. "Relax im Lucas Friar, your frenemy." "Why dont i like you?" She asked, " I honestly dont know " i said, and she made a good point.
I wanted to tell her that she was a sarcastic, funny person and that she called me ranger rick, hop along, sundance, and cowboy but then she might be presured to call me that and i dont want.
Missy's pov
After maya sent that text that she was gonna kill her self and that i won, i was shocked and i didnt want this to go this far. I got a text from riley saying she isnt dead after my latest post and im so glad she didnt. I want to start over.
Maya's Pov
I pretended to lose my memory and im a pretty good actress. When i asked lucas why did i not like him, i started to think about that myself. "Hey, i want to tell you something so that when you remember you will think about it, i........ "
