Mayas pov
The mathews are letting my mom and I stay in augies room since he is still to scared to sleep there by him self.tomorrow i got back to school with a broken arm and leg, conncussion and "amnesia".
I wore a white t shirt that said believe with a black leather jacket, then i just wore shorts since i cant wear leggings over my cast, and black combat boots. I went to rileys room and the door was opened. She had a a red dress with brown boots and a green jacket(the darkest green in camo). "Hey"we both said in unison and started laughing. She grabbed her bookbag and i grabbed mine and we headed to the living room/kitchen. "Hello riley,maya" mrs.mathews says. "Hello Mrs.Mathews" i say. "I made gronola bars" she said "yay! Said mr.mathews. "i grabbed one and as riley and i went out the door i said "thank you mrs.mathews!" And we headed for the subway.
As we were walking riley asked " how long are you gonna keep up this act?" "I dont know maybe a month or 2." I replyed.we got on the subway and i spotted lucas reading a book a farkle talking about something and looked at us "Ladies" he said flirtatiously "Farkle!" We say in unison like always. "Well maya i guess you remember something" farkle said.
Oh shoot i forgot about the amnesia thing. "Um yeah not exactly, honestly that came ok up coincidentally " "well ok then" farkle said suspiciously. "Hey cowboy, why are you reading a book on the subway?" Dang it i did it again! "Its our english report but i guess you forgot"he said slowly. "Yeah probably" "although you wouldnt have done it anyways" riley says to lighten everything to become less tense. It worked cause we were laughing.
Lucas pov
I missed mayas laugh but i feel like she is hiding something. We got off the subway and went to JQA middle school. "Maya do you remember where your locker is?" I ask. "Uh, no" she responded. "Its right next to mine, yours is the second to The right" we got our stuff and she sat in front of me. I was gonna ask if she remembered where she sat but when we got in the classroom, they were the only seats left.
Mr.mathews was talking about the anti-bullying rally they were going to do today and when he was everyone and i mean everyone looked at maya. She looked uncomfortable and i knew that she wanted to get up and leave. She and missy rose there hands up at the same time. He pointed at maya "Can i be excused?" She said, he nodded and she went out the classroom into the hallway.
Missys pov
I asked to go to the nurses office since i didnt feel well and when i walked out i saw maya sitting on the steps crying. I went up to her and she had fear all over her face.
"Whats wrong hart?" I said in a nice tone and i sat next to her. "What do you want" she said "nothing why would you think i wanted something?" Still in a nice tone. "Missy i know who you are i didnt forget everything just this year and last year." "Look maya, i want to start over" "After everything ive been through you just know want to be friends!?" maya looked angrier and angrier as i got up slowly.
"Look Hart you are a pathetic loser who only has one loser friend so i wanted to help you out by making you be the populars bestie." She slapped me and she backed off the stairs near the window of mr.mathews room. I knew what she was doing but i couldnt help myself and i tackled her as she hit her head hard on the ground. Here we go again.
It looked like she blacked out cause she isnt moving. I backed away and Ran to the nurses office like i was supposed to do cause i still didnt feel well and i heard someone get out of the classroom( to bring maya in probably.) Riley said "Daddy mayas hurt!" And mr.mathews comes and carries maya to the nurses office since its not serious.
Mayas pov
I fell down and everything went black. I woke up later and i didnt remember anything besides my name. "Maya do you know what happened?" The nurse asked me. "No i dont remember." Then she asked me if i remember anything and i said no. She said"Ussualy when people have amnesia and hit there head there memory and it ussualky comes back...." i had amnesia i kept saying in my head. I went back to class with an ice pack and i sat down. A brunette next to me asked "maya you ok?" "Uh yeah i guess , but i dont remember anything." I responded and she looked at me smiled and gave a thumbs up. Wonder what thats about.
School ended and i walked with the brunette Riley walked to her house. "Maya you dont have to pretend to have amnesia anymore no one else is here." I looked at her confused and i said " im not pretending i hit my head really hard and i dont remember anything." She looked like she was about to cry.
