Sanem POV
Can carried me all the way into the plane, I was blushing all the while. Can seemed to be least bothered of all the people watching us in shock. This was all a strange and odd feeling but I felt happy. Our remaining 9 hours flight went in a blur. Most of the time napping, chatting and looking out of the window. We were tired by the time we reached Sydney, well at least I was, because Can looked energetic as always. Though I'm excited as we step out of the airport, I was drained out, not only by the jet lag but also emotionally, I have never expressed my emotions to anyone as much as I have opened out to Can, and it somehow exhausted me, in a good way of course but I'm still not used to it. Its like you know when you tell your feelings to someone, it as if you are unclothed yourself, you feel vulnerable, like what if the person who you show yourself to violates your feelings using it as a bridge to their goals or motives. I am not trying to be a pessimist but there are times when there are insecurities and doubts. There are times when fears take over. Even though, I decided to trust Can, giving this marriage a chance, will we be able to sail through. Uff! My mind has started again. Sanem don't think just enjoy the now, whatever happens we will deal with it, I assure my mind.
My trance was broken when Can called out to me; Hayatim, this is the hotel, come let's go in; he gave his palm to me as he opened the car door for me.
Holding his palm I smile at him. Walking hand in hand, Can goes to the reception; Booking in the name of Mr & Mrs Can Divit.
Checking his computer the man behind the reception nods; welcome sir and maam, I will escort you to your cottage.
Cottage? I whisper to Can
Evet! He replied smiling at me.
Following the bellboy, we passed the huge lobby going downstairs towards the vast garden which leads to the small cute cottages with each having a mini garden of their own.
Do you like it? Can asked
Yes its cute! I wish we find a home just like this? I say
Your wish is my command! Name it and I will get it done for you; Can replied back.
Sanem? I heard someone calling my name as we were going to enter our portico. Turning around I recognize Tarik, Leyla's ex fiancée.
Tarik! I acknowledge him, while he comes over to greet me.
How are you Sanem, after so long, how's everyone? He said while giving me a kiss on the cheek. I could feel my left palm being squeezed in a tight grip, way too tight. Turning my head to look over I see Can's expression twisted as if he just drank salted coffee!
Tarik, this is my husband, Can; I introduced and Tarik gave forward his hand to greet, the only thing being Can didn't respond back, just staring at him as if ready to eat him.
Can; I call him rubbing his arm, making him come out of his thoughts. He shook his hands with Tarik, but I was not really sure what happened because now Tarik's face had turned sour as if he had eaten bitter lime!!
Looking at Can he looked pleased with himself, and the most odd thing the men were yet shaking each others hand. Leaving his hand with a jerk, Tarik yelps!Everything OK? I asked wondering what's wrong.
Looking at Can before answering me Tarik smiles; Evet Sanem everything OK! Its better I leave now, maybe we will chat some other day.
Saying that Tarik didn't even wait for my reply, waving goodbye at us he walked or should I say ran away?
What happened to him? I ask
I don't know, maybe he remembered something; Can told me opening the door of the cottage and grabbing me inside.
I was wondering what was wrong with Can now but got more interested in venturing the cottage. There was a small living room, then a passageway leading to the bedroom, opening the door of the balcony in the bedroom I was awestruck by the view outside, I could see the ocean in full view.
