I twiddled my thumbs nervously, anxiously waiting for Mirio to meet me in the hallway as small grey clouds began to form over my head. We had made plans to go on a date after school and, even though I was excited, I was also slightly terrified. There were just so many things that could go wrong, especially since I had no experience in this department. So instead of trying to calm my nerves and focus on the logical things, I stared down at my shoes in panic.

"Y/n! Hey, sorry for making you wait!" Mirio ran up to me, waving wildly and attracting the attention of every student that was still lingering in the hallway. He wrapped me in a tight hug, the student body still watching us. Blush stung at my face while I tried to accept the hug as calmly as I could despite my flustered state, the clouds fading into pink ones that were shaped like hearts.

He finally pulled away, our hands now locked together. "You ready for the best date of your life?!" His free hand was pointed forward, his eyes gazing ahead at some unseen object. I tried to follow his line of sight, but before my eyes could focus, I was being pulled toward the exit. "Umm, yeah, I guess..."

"C'mon, what kinda lackluster comment is that?! I want more energy out of you, Y/n!" He was practically shouting and I took a deep breath. "Yeah! Let's go!" With as much volume as I could muster, I yelled back much to his pleasure. He threw our connected hands into the air with a huge smile. "YEAH!!!"

"Mirio... People are staring..." We were out of U.A., but the street was even more filled with people than the campus; and most of them were now staring at us with raised eyebrows. "So what?! Let them stare and be proud of it!" Mirio ruffled my hair while I gave in slightly, a small giggle escaping my lips.

We walked around the city, hand in hand, until we got to a big theater bustling with teenagers and families. Mirio lead me inside while I made sure to stay close by, all the people making me slightly nervous. We ended up in front of a huge board that displayed all the movies and their showing times, the column of the soonest times highlighted.

Mirio gestured to the board in a comedic fashion, throwing his arms out wide. "Pick a movie, any movie! C'mon, pretty lady, there has to be one that peaks your interest." I giggled shyly, hiding my face away with my hands. "Well... How about that one?" I pointed at one of the options and Mirio gave me a big thumbs up. "Perfect! So all we need now are tickets and popcorn, right?"

"Umm, yeah, I think that's all!" I tried to convey my excitement through my naturally soft voice, the fluffy white clouds above my head being more of a hint though. He nodded with a grin as we went to go get our tickets and snacks.

Once we got our goodies and found seats in the theater itself, the movie was about to start. Luckily for me, my small stature made it so that the clouds that were permanently over my head didn't block anyone's view. The lights dimmed, Mirio already snacking on a couple pieces of the popcorn. A few minutes into the move, I let my hand wander into the bucket, my fingers brushing against his.

Both of us diverted our attention from the screen to each other, my face heating up as I retracted my hand from the bin without any popcorn. "S-Sorry..." I whispered, getting too flustered over something so trivial. Mirio smiled kindly at me, leaning in to kiss my cheek, which only made my embarrassment worse. "No worries, little lady."

I spent the next hour or so sitting in my chair, completely unaware of what was happening in the movie or the theater or anything really. All that would compute in my mind was the warmth that had been against my cheek; the way it really made me feel like I was special. I let myself enjoy some fantasies, stealing glances at Mirio who was completely absorbed by the film.

"YEAH! GET 'IM!" My boyfriend jumped out of his seat, yelling and punching a fist into the air. "SHHHH!!!" The entire theater chorused, followed by multiple people in the back complaining, nagging him to sit down. "Mirio!" I whisper-shouted, tugging on his jacket with pleading eyes.

More people began shouting, throwing stuff at him while I glared at them. "Sorry guys!" He held his hands up in surrender, walking out of the theater. I jumped out of my seat to follow him, having to dodge a couple pieces of popcorn on the way.

Once I made it through the doors I was embraced by a pair of strong arms, my face pressed against a large chest. "Haha, sorry about that, Y/n..." Mirio looked down at me with an apologetic smile and I just let out a small sigh; I couldn't stay mad at a face like that. "Don't worry about it, I couldn't really pay attention in there anyways."

"Neither could I! That's why we're gonna go to my house and finish it there!"

"What?"

(TIME SKIP)

I walked out of Mirio's room in nothing but one of his shirts that ended up fitting me like a dress. Still, I felt more bashful than normal as I stared down at my bare feet. "Are you sure this is okay?" Shifting shyly in place, Mirio laughed heartily at my timid state. "Aww, you look so cute in that, Y/n!" He then patted the spot on the couch next to him with a grin. "C'mon, it's about to start... Good thing I got Netflix, huh?"

I merely nodded, snuggling up next to and pulling the blanket up to my chin. Mirio put his arm around me and started the film. After a while of it playing, Mirio spoke up, his voice softer than usual. "I'm... I'm sorry if today wasn't that good of a date... But don't worry! I'll make it up to you with the next one!"

"Stop right there," I shook my head, glancing up at him with a soft smile. "I had fun today, really! But, if I'm being totally honest, I prefer things like this... Just, you know, being with you. That's what makes me really happy." I finished my confession with rosy cheeks, Mirio's face looking surprisingly flustered. "Y/n..." He put a hand over his mouth, his eyes crinkled with joy. "I didn't know that you were such a romantic!"

"Eh?!"
