It was raining when we reached New Orleans. I sat beside Evan in the transfer shuttle bus. The rain thudded heavily against the window, and looking out through the curtain of water, I could see the dimmed lights of the sprawling city as morning approached. "Look how pretty the city is," I murmured to Evan as I pressed my hand to the glass in awe. He leant his head on my shoulder, whispering in my ear. "It's nice," he murmured in my ear. I felt a smile spread across my face as his warm breath tickled my neck. I slunk back forward to face the front and he draped his arm around my shoulder loosely.

We travelled in silence. I was still groggy from the night on the plane, and my muscles ached in all sorts of places. As we pulled up outside our hotel, I was surprised. It was a huge, white building, complete with marble columns and bright red lights rimming above the doors and windows. It was fancy looking. "We're staying here?" I asked in disbelief as Evan took my hand and helped me down the step from the shuttle to the wet floor. "Looks like it," Evan said with wide eyes. "This place is a lot fancier than where we stayed when we were shooting Asylum," he added as he grabbed both our bags and carried them inside. I followed him inside and to the reception of the grand, gold room. "You must be Evan Peters," said a male worker dressed in a smart suit. Evan nodded and pulled me by my hand so I was stood beside him. I clenched his hand tightly. "And Lily Jennings?" he added with a smile as he noticed me. I nodded. "That'd be me." He took our bags off Evan. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I'll take these to your room for you," he said as he escorted us. "I should let you know that the only rooms available at the moment are doubles while we refurbish. I trust that shouldn't be a problem for a lovely couple like you though," he said as he walked ahead of us upstairs. I turned to look at Evan, raising my eyebrows with a look of disbelief. He smirked and held my hand tightly as we walked upstairs.

After the worker had dropped off our bags and informed us of all the hotel procedures and information, we were left alone in our huge hotel room. "So, girlfriend," Evan laughed as he punched my arm playfully. "What, boyfriend?" I teased back as I rolled my eyes. "Since we're a couple now, shouldn't we consummate our relationship in this nice big, comfortable hotel bed?" he laughed as he flopped onto the big, white, double bed and posed seductively. "I'm afraid I can't have sex until marriage," I joked as I jumped on top of him, laughing. "I don't plan on proposing to you just yet," he said as his fingers found my ribs and he tickled them. I shrieked in laughter as I tried to wiggle away from him, but his strong arms held me tightly. "Stop!" I shrieked as I kicked frantically. He finally eased off, but he lifted me up and chucked me over his shoulder.

"Evan!" I squealed as I tried to kick my legs. He carried me into the kitchen before dropping me into the couch. I fell onto my back, laughing breathlessly. "What do you want to do then, girlfriend?" he teased. I could tell this was going to become a kind of standing joke, since Evan found a way to make a joke out of everything. "We have a week to kill before we start shooting," he said as he flopped down beside me.

"Shall we take it a day at a time?" I said breathlessly as I laid back on the sofa. Evan sat next me as he stared ahead. "I think that's a good place to start," he agreed. "Well, I'm going to start unpacking," I said as I hauled myself up. "And maybe later we could rent a movie?" I suggested as I pulled my jumper down to cover the waistband of my skinny jeans. "Sure," he said.

☯ Evan's POV ☯

I followed Lily into the bedroom with my bag as I dumped it on the double bed. "I'm happy to take the couch," I said as I began unpacking my clothes. "No, don't be silly. You took the couch back at your place," she said as she hung up her clothes. "Don't make me argue with you," I said with a chuckle. "I'm taking the couch," I persisted. I knew the couch wouldn't exactly be nice, but I wanted Lily to be comfortable and to sleep well. That was the most important thing. "No!" she said stubbornly as she launched a pillow at me from the bed. "Don't be a stubborn girlfriend, or I'll have to break up with you," I teased as I threw the pillow back at her chest. We weren't even together, but after what the hotel worker had mentioned to us, it was funny to make a joke out of it and wind her up.

She shook her head with a grin. "This isn't over," she said cheekily as she threw her empty suitcase under the bed.

It wasn't long until evening approached. We'd spent the afternoon settling into the place and unpacking everything. We were chilled out in the couch now in our pyjamas with a blanket thrown over our legs as we watched a movie. The apartment was dim and dark, and the only light came from the flickering images on the television screen. "Do you want a drink?" Lily asked as she stood up and stretched. She was wearing yoga pants, and her butt looked amazing. I should definitely remind her to wear them more often. As she stretched, her top rode up, exposing her flat, toned stomach. "Uh," I stuttered. "Sure, whatever you're having." She yawned before padding to the kitchen and making two lemonades.

She took a long gulp before placing the drinks on the table, and she curled up against me, pulling the blanket over us.

She laid her head against my chest, and I wrapped my arms around her. I'd long stopped concentrating on the movie. I gently run my hands up and down her back as she flickered her eyes shut. "This is nice," she murmured as she buried her head into my chest. "Yeah," I mumbled back with a smile. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep.

//// I'm apologising now because this chapter really wasn't as good. I wrote so many different things but I settled with this since I really want to progress with the story, but I don't want to rush things. Better chapters to come! XxX
