I woke up feeling warm and clammy. I opened my heavy eyes, moaning as the beams of sunlight shone in my face. I sat upright quickly, blinking rapidly to re-focus. I'd fallen asleep on the couch with Evan. I turned around; he was still sleeping. He curled up at the absence of my body, his lips were slightly parted, and his chest moved up and down slowly as he slept. I didn't want to wake him up when he was sleeping so peacefully. The apartment was warm and humid after a night of rain, and the shafts of warm sunlight were now beaming through the crevices of the curtains against the window. I needed some air.

I was still dressed in my black yoga pants and grey tank-top from last night, so I threw on my worn, white converse, tied my hair into a high, messy bun and grabbed my grey satchel from the hook. Before leaving, I left a note for Evan to let him know that I'd gone on a walk. I left the apartment quickly, taking the elevator down to the ground floor and walking out.

The hotel we were staying in was situated on the main street, and I made a mental note to stick to the long stretch of road so I wouldn't get lost. As I stepped onto the street, I was blinded by the sun as it shone brightly through the gaps in the autumn trees. I delved into my bag to find my shades, putting them on before I checked the time on my phone. It was only eight, and still fairly early, but the pavements were crawling with pedestrians and the roads were filled with cars as they raced past. I wandered further down the street, clutching my satchel to my side. It was lined with colourful buildings, ranging from pastel pinks to canary yellows, all adorned with intricate, black iron railing balconies. It had a rather antique but exotic vibe to it, not quite like anything I had seen before. I strolled down the street at a slow pace. The air was warm and there was a light breeze, and it was nice to be alone and at peace with my own thoughts. As much as I loved Evan's company, I cherished the rare moments that I had to myself. I walked further on down the street until I reached the turning onto another main street, so I turned around and headed back. I had to make a mental note to myself to bring Evan out here. It really was beautiful.

When I made my way back to the apartment, Evan was up and was cooking. "Did you have a nice walk?" he asked as I placed my shades in my bag, hung it up and then pulled my shoes off. "It was lovely. I'll have to bring you out there soon," I said with a smile as I made my way into the kitchen. "What's cooking, good looking?" I teased as I reached into the fridge for some fruit juice. "Eggs," he said with a grin as he turned away from the cooker. I poured out two glasses of juice, handing him one as I hoisted myself up onto the counter and took a long gulp. "Thanks," he said. I was etching to get out now and explore the town, I guess that was the adventurous side of me emerging. "What do you want to do today?" he asked as he served up breakfast. It was like he had read my mind. "I want to get out somewhere and explore." He nodded. "We'll go after breakfast and roam around until we find somewhere, I guess." That was one of the qualities I admired about Evan. He was so spontaneous and impulsive, and was always ready and rearing to go. We ate our breakfast quickly, and after we'd showered and got dressed, we were ready to go. It was warm, but the forecast predicted rain later, so I opted for a pair of pale grey jeans, black boots, a white shirt and my black leather jacket which I tucked into my satchel for later. Evan looked cute as usual in his jeans, black shirt and flannel. I loved his sense of style. Paired with his messy, blonde curls, he always looked so chill and easy-going. That was another thing I liked about him.

☯ Evan's POV ☯

I spent the morning wandering around the town with Lily. She was right when she said it was beautiful, captivating almost. We spent a while window-shopping in all the old antique shops before I bought us both a coffee. We found a nice park, and we sat down under the shade of the trees, drinking our coffees. "I can't believe we're starting filming in a week," I spoke up. Lily leaned back in the bench as she wrapped her hands around the plastic coffee cup. "I know. I'm kind of nervous actually," she said as she stared ahead. "Why?" I wasn't nervous at all, in fact, I was rather excited at the thought of spending another couple of months with the crew and Lily. "I don't know, really. You never know what Ryan has in store. I have no idea who I'm going to be playing," she said with an awkward laugh. "You'll be fine," I said and she turned to look at me. "You always are."

We sat there and finished our coffees as we talked about the show until it started to rain. We were right in the heart of the park as the grey sky loomed over us. We didn't have a chance to get undercover, as the clouds suddenly opened and the rain fired down like heavy artillery. "I told you it was going to rain," Lily said with grin as she pulled her jacket on quickly. I stood up quickly, taking her hand and beginning to run. "What are you running for?" she laughed as I pulled her along. In all honesty, I didn't completely know, but I wanted to find some shelter from the downpour. "I don't know," I said with a grin as I pulled her along. The stretch of pavement that ran through the park must've been over a mile along. We'd only been running a minute or so when Lily tugged on my hand. "Evan, I can't run anymore," she laughed breathlessly as her wet grip slipped from mine. Her hair was soaking wet now and hung in wet clusters around her shoulders. Water droplets clung to her long eyelashes and ran down her forehead and cheeks, and her clothes were completely soaked. She leaned forward slightly, trying to catch her breath. I thought for a few moments. "Come on, I'll give you a ride," I said with a grin, and she climbed onto my back. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I held her up as I ran down the avenue of trees. "Evan," she laughed breathlessly as she clung to my neck. I could feel her burying her face between the crevice of my neck and my shoulder to shield her face from the rain. I grinned and carried on running.

I managed to navigate out the park, and she hopped off my back as the pair of us dashed through the rain and made our way back to the apartment. We were both freezing when we got inside. Our teeth were chattering as I shut the front door and went to walk into the living room. "No!" she said as she tugged me back. "You're all wet. You'll make the carpet all gross and wet," she said as she removed her jacket and hung it up. "What do you expect me to do?" I asked with a laugh as she took her shoes off and began unbuttoning her jeans. "Strip."

I raised my eyebrows as she began sliding her jeans down her slender legs. "For real?" I asked. I was such a dork sometimes. "For real," she repeated as she laughed at me and kicked her jeans away from her ankles. I hesitated for a moment before pulling off my wet flannel. Heck, I wasn't going to complain about stripping with her. I unbuttoned my jeans and took them off as Lily pulled her now wet and opaque shirt off her body. I quickly followed her by pulling my shirt off until we were both standing there in our underwear. I'd be lying if I said we both didn't stare. She had an amazing body. She was slim and toned. Her cleavage was full and defined underneath her bra, which then gave way to her slim waist, flat stomach and then curved outwards to her hips and thighs. I could feel her eyes on me as well for a few moments before she spoke. "Race you to the bathroom," she said eagerly as she rushed through the living room. I ran after, but she got a head-start and dashed into the bathroom, locking the door behind her. I banged on the door with my fist. "No fair, you got a head-start," I laughed before slinking back and sitting on the bed. "Stop complaining," she shouted. I heard her turn on the shower. "Okay, I'm going to shower now," she said. "Looks like you're going to have to sit there in your underwear and wait." Was she teasing me? I could envision her face right now: that cheeky smile that gave way to her flushed cheeks. "I can live with that," I shouted back as I laid back on the bed. She didn't take long anyway.

Was this really happening? Did we really just strip together? I felt kind of breathless actually. It was all so new and exhilarating. We'd got so close lately, like we never would've done shit like this before. Then again, she had a boyfriend before. I sat upwards again as I ran my hands through my wet hair. Smooth. This was real, and this was now.
