"Annabeth, do you think it's possible for you to come to Nevada? We got a really large vampire nest. At least fifty."

"Jason, that's close to impossible, they never have more than twenty." But he had caught her interest.

"How fast can you get here?"

"We're just passed through Utah, we're about an hours away."

"I'll text you the location." Annabeth ended the call without a proper good bye.

"Who's Jason?" Percy asked.

"A friend, he's a hunter, but he lives in one place with a few other hunters. He's supposedly the one in charge but really it's Piper. She's his girlfriend."

"One place?'

"They don't travel, they've built an underground hunting system, hunters can rely on food and shelter there, and wifi. A lot of wifi." Percy raised his eyebrows at her statement.

"It's disguised though?"

"It's a motel on the edge of Vegas, it's not hard to spot if you know what you're looking for."

"Everything's hard to spot in Vegas!" Percy exclaimed.

"It stands out, it's smaller and mortals can't see it. Hunters have come up with a thing called Mist, we manipulate it and normal people think it's simply a rundown burger place."

----------------------------------------------

"How was this ever seen as a rundown burger place?!" Percy exclaimed, gesturing at the craziness that had to be a four star motel with his experience of motels.

Sadly, Annabeth's was much worse, but she'd gotten over the initial shock the second time she'd been.

Mostly because the waffle bar was crap.
"There's a pool, so I expect you'll be there most of the time, right, Seaweed Brain?" Percy had brightened up at the word pool.

"Annie!" A scrawny man with crazy flyaway hair and mechanical goggles ran up to them, hugging Annabeth.

"I told you not to call me that, Leo," Annabeth grumbled, excepting the hug all the same.

"Who dis?" Leo asked, releasing Annabeth and looking Percy up and down.

"LEO!" A woman with caramel hair braided loosely dashed out of the front door. "I told you-"

"I know, Calypso, I was supposed to wait for you," Leo said, grinning like the imp he usually was.

"Calypso, it's good to see you," Annabeth said, smiling. Calypso looked up as she was about four inches shorter.

"You too, Annabeth, who's this?" she said looking at Percy who was staring at Amnabeth for help.

"My new partner, Leo Valdez, Calypso, meet Percy Jackson. Percy, this Leo and Calypso."

"Hey."

"He looks like a skater," Leo stated.

"Leo!" Calypso slapped his arm. "I'm sure you're a good person."

"Yeah, a skater who doesn't stop watching Finding Nemo and A Little Mermaid," Annabeth muttered under her breath.

"Wise Girl?" Percy asked, his eyebrow raised a centimeter higher than normal.

"I'm going to show Percy the pool, then I'll go talk to Jason, tell him the dining hall in about 5 minutes, I'll be there in 9." Leo nodded and sped away with Calypso hot on his heels.

"They seem nice, what did he mean by skater?" Percy asked.

"You're wearing a band tee, skinny jeans, and your hair is in your face."
