Flashback continued:

The gang members pushed their fear away and replaced it with rage as they launched at the two blood covered mutants. Their guns cried out as a rain of bullets were unleashed, their machetes sang as they cut through the air sharply only to clash with a katana belonging to one of the turtles.

The mutants abandoned all honor and mercy as they cut down the members of the gang one after another, they ignored the new wounds they were gaining as the strange spark from before continued to pulse through their veins before it turned into a constant stream of power.

Dark markings covered their skin glowing ever so slightly before a dragon surrounded by flames appeared on their plastrons glowing a deep red. White light blasted out from the mutants bodies sending Diablos and innocent villagers who were too close flying some were even sliced in half due to the force behind the blast.

Gasps filled the air as the mutants came into view because where they once stood were two dragons, Leo was black with white markings and Kat was white with black markings. They were the opposite of each other, but the shock was short lived as the two beasts launched forward taking down gang members.

The battle raged on blood flooded the village, buildings and homes were riddled with bullet holes. The streets were littered with bodies of Diablos and villagers, when a handful of gang members remained the two now dragon mutants stopped and nodded before clapping their hands together.

A giant yin yang symbol appeared glowing brightly before it blasted outward screams of agony rang through the air, they belonged to gang members, villagers, and even the two mutants. The blast leveled the growing homes were destroyed either completely or just sliced in half.

The two mutants shook from pain as they were forced back into their normal turtle forms, their sapphire and crystal orbs scanned the damage and felt the urge to vomit as the sea of crimson that streamed through the once lively village. Some homes were still standing but many were destroyed, villagers who survived walked out of their safe hiding places and took in the damage.

Their sorrowful eyes lingered on the many bodies of their friends and family members who had fallen in the battle they weren't even a part of. The two turtles moved slowly keeping their gaze averted from the villagers as they made their way to the doc and his home which was on the opposite side of the village.

Upon arrival the doctor immediately gathered his supplies and started patching up the severely injured turtles, Leo and Kat hadn't spoken a word since they arrived despite the many times that Elizabeth ,who is the doc's daughter, tried to get her friends to open up.

Silence weight heavily in the small home and soon enough the two mutants were resting, Kat had fallen unconscious shortly after her wounds were treated and Leo followed her lead shortly after.

End flashback:

"-eo! LEO!" The sounds of Raphael's voice pulled the blue banded turtle and Katharine out of the hell that was their memories. Once the hotheaded turtle saw that he had gained his brother's attention he lowered his voice slightly and asked, "You Alright, you both kinda spaced out for a few minutes there."

The blue clad turtle hesitated slightly before nodding, "Uh yea...yea I'm fine...just got lost in thought. Umm what were you saying?" This caused a collective sigh to ring out from the three younger turtles since Master Splinter had already left the room go meditate or something.

Donnie saw the confusion and lost look in his eldest brother's eyes and frowns slightly before filling him and Kat in, "We were discussing whether or not the Diablos will attack again considering you both wiped out a number of their members."

The white banded female spoke up before he could add more to his statement, "That's not all their forces the Diablos aren't just a small Central American gang. They were based there but their leader before the one we met tonight was a cunning man, he had connections all over the world...and now that the Diablos have been mostly wiped out their allies will attack."

Leonardo nodded in agreement with Katharine, "She's right with what we did tonight a target has been painted on our shells. We need to prepare because all we've done is just stir the pot....we've started a war."

The three younger mutants stared at their older brother and female turtle in shock, because they watched the fight between the two eldest turtles and the Diablos and if that was only the tip of the freaking iceberg what kind of hell has just been declared on them?!

The two eldest turtles sighed softly as they watched the horror dawn on the younger mutants faces, they knew they should've been a little nicer in saying that now more gangs are going to be out for blood but sugarcoating something that could end up being how they die probably isn't the best thing to do.

Leo and Kat looked at one another before speaking at the same time, "We're going to be alright." The fact that they spoke in sync with one another pulled the three younger turtles out of their horror induced thoughts, causing them to look at them.

Kat spoke again this time however she spoke alone, "We can prepare, train you three to be able to fight. We should have plenty of time and if they catch us off guard before Leo dubs you eligible to face them you will retreat to safe ground and we'll finish the fight."

The red, purple, and orange clad reptiles nodded sharply knowing not to argue with Kat...because despite the fact that they've only know the female mutant for a few days they already know that she's a force to be reckoned with so it's best to follow her orders if you don't want to get hurt.

Leonardo cleared his throat and spoke in his leader voice, "Alright we've had a long night tomorrow we will be taking a break and me and Kat will answer all the questions I know you and Sensei have. So go get some sleep." His brothers nodded before bidding them goodnight and making their ways to their respective rooms.

The blue banded male let out an exhausted sigh before looking to his female companion, her crystal orbs met his sapphire ones...she let a gentle smile pull at her lips before speaking in a very soft voice. "We will need our rest as well, we have a busy day tomorrow," with that she turned around making her way over to the couch she had called a bed the previous night.

Leo followed her and before she reached the long piece of furniture he placed his hand on her shoulder causing her to turn and face him, his eyes were holding an emotion she had seen in them many times before but she could never place a name to it...that is until now.

It was love. Pure, innocent and genuine love. She smiled once more before leaning close to him, meeting his soft lips halfway. The kiss was sweet nothing like their first one which was hesitant and loving showing how much they truly loved one another, no this one wasn't as it was gentle and proved that what they were feeling didn't have to be expressed with words.

Once they finally broke apart the two eldest turtles shared one more short kiss before bidding the other goodnight. Leo walked to his room a smile still on his face while Kat laid out her blanket and pillow on the couch a small smile pulled at her lips as well.
