The girl at the door (Hosie)

Chpt 5.

Josie POV

"No" hope says and I run my hands through my hair.
"Hope what happened to you?"
"It's in pieces"
"What?"
"My memory" I stare at her as she looks down playing with her hands.

"You're memory's?" She nods her head
"What happened to you?" She shakes her head.
"Hope did someone do this too you?" She stands very still thinking very carefully on how to answer me but she doesn't she just walks away and I sigh.

Why do I feel so bad for hope agh these feeling won't go away! I should probably go check on her wait agh I groan and walk up the stairs. I try Harley's room first but of course she wasn't there.

Great she is probably in my room. I walk back to my room and slowly and carefully enter my room. Hope is fragile at the moment and I don't want to upset her even more. Oh god damn it hope what are you doing to me. I walk around my bed and see Hope on the floor again.

"Hope?" I say and she looks up at me. I don't know what to say so I just sit on my bed and lean against my head board.
"Hope what do you remember?" Hope gets up and sits on the bed in front of me and pushes a photo into my hands. It's the same one I picked up earlier.

She points at my dad and I look up at her.
"I was there" I look at her confused.
"When he died I was there" my breath catches and I put my hand on my chest.
"I tried to help but I couldn't move"

"I need you to get out my room"
"What?"
"Hope get the fuck out of my room!" I shout at her and she gets up and runs out closing the door. I break into sobs as I lay down on my bed. I hold my face as I cry.

I laid in the same spot for a long time until it was dark outside at least I had stopped crying. I hear footsteps down stairs and I thought it was just hope until I hear Harley's voice say hey. I look up at her and she smiles at me. I don't answer her and I look away from her eyes.

"Where's hope?"
"I don't know probably in your room" Harley nods and walks out. I close my eyes thinking it is best to sleep but I hear Harley come into my room again.
"She's not there" I sit up
"What are you talking about?"
"I mean Josie she's gone!" I get up as I don't believe her. We search the whole apartment until I realise that hope is gone.

"What did you do?!" Harley's says throwing a pillow at me. It hits me in the stomach but doesn't hurt because Harley doesn't know how to throw hard.
"I just shouted at her"
"Why?!"
"Because Harley she was there when my dad died and I was mad so I just shouted at her to get the fuck out"

"And you thought that was good idea?!"
"She is a hybrid she can handle herself" I say taking a seat on the couch.
"No Josie she needs our help remember?!"
"And the last time I checked she was a fully grown women who can handle herself"

"Go look for her!"
"What no it's about to rain no way am I going to go look for her!"
"You caused it, you go find her" she grabs her car keys
"Come on"

"I thought you said I must look for her?"
"Yes because when you spot her you go get her, and I'll keep the car going" I don't get to fight with her because she grabs my hand and pulls me out the apartment. She locks the door grabbing my hand again and pulling me down the stairs to her car. I can hear thunder above us.

We both hop in and Harley quickly starts the car and drives down the road.
"How far would she have gone?"
"I don't care" Harley shoots me a death stare and I roll my eyes at her. Why does Harley want to get hope back? Where they closer than Harley said?

I look out the window as it starts to drizzle.
"Can't you use magic?"
"What like to find her?"
"Yes, can you do that?"
"Yes"
"Than do it"
"I need something of hers" Harley pulls a thing out of her pocket and gives it to me.

It's a necklace
"What about something that use to belong to her?" I look at Harley as she doesn't look at me she only looks at the road.
"Yeah I guess that would work" I look away from Harley and squeeze the necklace in my hand. Feel for hopes energy.
Look for it
Look for it. I close my eyes feeling my hand warm up

I open my eyes
"Got it turn right" Harley does what I say
"Left here and go straight ahead" we go down the long quiet road for a long time as there was only one lamp working outside and the clouds made it even darker if that was possible. Harley turns on her head lights and we just keep driving until something jumps in front of the car.

Harley slams on breaks
"WHAT IS THAT!" Harley's shouts and I look out the windscreen and see a white wolf.
"That's hope" I say opening up the door. I get out and Hope looks at me before running into the woods. Great now I have to follow her
"Stay here" I say to Harley closing the door.

I pull my hoodie on my head and run into the woods after hope. It was cold and wet outside.
"HOPE!" I shout but there's no reply. I go deeper into the woods looking around for any sign of Hope.
"HOPE!" I shout again. I stop in my tracks it was so difficult to look for her. Than I hear some bushes move from behind me and I turn around quickly.
"Hope?" I say as my heart starts beating hard on my chest. The bushes move and I see two red eyes, that isn't hope. Hope has beautiful yellow eyes when she is a werewolf.

I slowly back up when the bushes growls at me. It jumps up and looks like an odd kind of creature. Than I see a blur of white cross my eyes and tackle the odd creature. I just hear teeth snap as Hope throws the odd creature across the forest. She looks at me those beautiful yellow eyes dig into my eyes.

"Run" she says and I don't hesitate running back the way I came. I hear someone from behind and I turn to see hope following me. We run into the road the rain now pouring down hard. We make our way to the car.
"Get in!" I shout at hope and hope opens the back seat doors and jumps in. I look back at the forest as I see the red eyes getting closer to us. I hop in the car.
"What happened?"
"JUST DRIVE" Harley turns the car around and steps on it back the way we came.

"Go a different way make sure that we have lost it" I say and Harley's nods going around nearly the whole city. We eventually make our way to home. The car ride was silent. We all get out quickly running up the stairs and into the apartment. Hope and I were soaking wet and muddy.

"Oh my god are you guys okay what happened?!" Penelope says as her and Lizzie look so worried.
"We are fine"
"What happened?" I look at Hope and hope looks at me.
"What was that?" Hope swallows hard
"The bad thing"

"The bad thing?"
"Yes the bad thing and there's more of them" I look at the rest of the group as they all look at Hope. Hope shrugs her shoulders.
"Well I'm going to go clean up" she says walking away and up the stairs.
"Guys What are we going to do?"

"I don't know but she can't go out there again" Harley says looking at me directly.
"I'm also going to go clean up" I say walking past them and up the stairs. I go to the bathroom and see hope was already down so I took a shower.

After scrubbing my body clean I walk out the bathroom but stop in the middle of the hallway looking at Harley's room. I sigh and walk over to her room knocking lightly on the door.
"Hope?" I Say and see her sitting on the bed. She looks up at me but doesn't smile.

"Yes"
"Look..I just wanted to say I'm sorry for shouting at you"
"It's ok I forgive you" she says finally smiling and I smile back. I stand there shifting on my feet
"Um good night" I say to her
"Good night"

When I was about to close the door I see Hope looking around the room very uneasy and scared. I sigh deep and open the door again.
"Do you want to come stay with me?" She smiles big and hops out the bed coming towards me.

We walk to my room close together as our shoulders touch.
"Why don't we get to know each other?" I say to her and she nods her head
"Yeah I think that will be great" If hope doesn't remember me Than maybe that can be a new start for the both of us and maybe we can actually be friends.
