Waking Nightmare

I'm still asleep,
Yet still awake.
The night's so deep
For dear God's sake.

I'm short of air,
It's hard to breathe.
To move, I dare;
To yell, I seethe.

My limbs are dead,
I was betrayed.
Even my head,
Frozen, it stayed.

I tried to scream,
There was no sound.
Inside my dream,
Until I found.

Someone, something
On my chest.
Sitting, smiling
At its finest.

An old hag's head
Of such an imp.
It caused much dread
That made me limp.

Child of devil
That weighs a ton.
Like an anvil
That made me stun.

As darkness gleam,
I even feel.
It was a dream,
Yet it's so real.

My visitor
Bestowed me fear.
An abductor
That's not my dear.

I'm controlling
All my senses.
Fingers moving
Some few inches.
