GREYSON ASHER CORNER
"How about we celebrate the closing of this deal over lunch?" I asked putting the newly signed papers away. This deal had gone on for several months and I was super ecstatic to end it. I got up and smoothened my already impeccable suit after putting it on. It was perfectly safe to say that I was a very dandy man. My nails were perfectly manicured, my suit was crisp even though I had been sitting down and my shoes were absolutely shiny. Everything about my look was undeniably attractive and while my friends were already used to me caring so much about my appearance, people who didn't know me usually thought I had OCD.
Recently, The Corner's Empire, which I had taken over from my father four years ago, diverted into running chains of hotels. It was safe to say that we had become one of the richest companies in the world.
"We definitely should celebrate over lunch. You see, we recently employed a new culinarian for one of our restaurants about two streets away and I've heard that her cooking skills are beyond amazing. That is currently one of our most popular restaurants and it's all because of her skills. The feedback from customers who are regular there is a hundred percent positive." Jeremiah, my cousin and accountant, said and ended with a smile.

When one of the staff saw us walk inside, she quickly ran in our direction. She seemed somewhat familiar and she was blushing like crazy. "Is there an issue Miss Stephanie?" I had to look at her name tag to now her name and she seemed to have noticed this. The disappointment was evident in her eyes but she quickly placed a small smile on her face and regained composure.
"I'm sorry, my name is Stephanie and I'll be your waiter this afternoon. Would you like a table in the open or a booth please?" I couldn't help but feel bad about the girl. I had no idea if I was supposed to know her or not and I had no idea why she was disappointed that I didn't know her name.
"A booth will suffice, thank you." Jer was the one to answer her.
"Follow me, please." She led the way to another room in the restaurant and we took our seats inside the enclosed seating area. "What would you like for me to get for you to drink while you scan through the menu?" The now professional staff said with a polite smile. She took out her little pad and was ready to take notes. I had to admit to myself, I was impressed with her level of professionalism, I honestly wouldn't have hesitated to fire her if she lacked professionalism in the course of doing her work.
"I'll have some water please." I really wasn't in the mood for wine, juice or soda. When she came back with the water and non-alcoholic wine that the others ordered, she asked if we had made our decision and honestly, we hadn't. We were rather busy discussing business and other frivolities.
"We couldn't make a decision, I was hoping you'd give us your opinion on what dish to go for." Jer said. I saw him offer her a polite smile and I couldn't help but wonder if Jer would ever come out to the squad about his sexuality. I saw the way the other business partners were looking at her like she was a piece of meat and to be real, if she didn't work for me, I wouldn't have a problem having a go at her. Jer on the other hand didn't seem remotely interested in her, or any other women. I knew that he fucked women sometimes but, he just never seemed interested.
"Today, the cook made her infamous Shan-style rice, whenever she makes foreign delicacies, the customers are usually very happy. You should try it." She smiled again, but it was more polite than friendly.
