'Cause you're so damn beautiful
You're so damn beautiful~~~
Ashton groaned as his eyes fluttered open, his pupils decreasing in size as the sunlight shining through the living room window cruelly cast a glare upon them. The blanket he had previously been covered in was now tangled between his legs. As he adjusted himself to try and ease the discomfort in his neck, Ashton became aware of the arm wrapped around his waist as it tightened ever so slightly.
He smiled down at the blonde girl beside him. Somehow, during the night, Sydney had ended up falling asleep on top of Ashton, her arms wrapped around his torso. Her soft cheek was squashed against his firm shoulder, causing a pout to form on her lips. Her legs tangled with Ashton's. She looked peaceful: the frown that seemed to always be on her face recently had been ironed out, her eyes no longer squinted in confusion.
Slowly, Ashton attempted to remove the girl from his body. He gently untangled his legs from her own, before setting them on the ground quietly. He slowly guided her arm from around his waist and by her side. He pushed himself up off the sofa, pausing when Sydney moved in her sleep, before turning around to look at his best friend. He grabbed the blanket that had previously been covering the two of them, gently tugging it up so that Sydney was wrapped in it.
He staggered towards his kitchen, fatigue still weighing his limbs down and slowing his movements. As his feet hit the cold tiles of the kitchen, a shiver ran down his spine.
The man wrapped his arms around himself as goosebumps formed along his skin. He rubbed at the skin from his shoulders to his elbows, regretting his decision to not wear a long-sleeved shirt. Not that he could blame himself; he was drained of energy that morning and the incident of the night before was still fresh in his mind. The last thing he had been thinking about last night was what shirt he should wear when Sydney shows up.
He set to work on making coffee, glancing back to check in Sydney, worried that the loud noises his high-tech coffee machine was emitting would wake her. The coffee machine had been bought for him by Sydney as a Christmas gift; Ashton had been thrilled to receive it, resulting in him picking the petite girl up and spinning her around the room.
With the colourful mugs adorned with jokes and filled to the brim with hot, steaming liquid in his hands, Ashton trundled back into the living room. He placed Sydney's mug on the coffee table in front of the sofa gently, before lifting Sydney's legs up so that he could sit down. He placed them down onto his lap, taking a sip of his coffee.
He turned on his phone, having picked it up earlier when he was bringing through the drinks, and started to scroll through his Twitter feed. He liked and retweeted the tweets that made him smile, laughing as those who owned the account and their friends lost their shit. The man thought it was cute. That's right, folks, you heard it here first: Ashton Irwin finds it cute when you 'fangirl'.
Ashton raised his head to look at Sydney as moved over on the sofa, rolling onto her side. She hummed as she did so, her eyes still glued shut as she scratched the back of her head. The blonde yawned, before lifting her arms above her head so that she could stretch them. Sydney peeled her eyelids open to reveal her ocean blue eyes, blinking heavily.
"Morning, Sleepy-Head." Ashton chuckled, pushing himself higher into a sitting position so that Sydney had room to sit up herself.
